Banning players from your events

Block an account from registering for your events, and lift the ban later.

Banned Players is an organization-level registration block. While a ban is active, that account cannot register for any event you own, and staff adding players in bulk will see them rejected instead of added.

It is an access-control tool. Keep incident notes, evidence, and correspondence wherever your organization handles conduct cases. TopDeck.gg stores the block, not the case file.

Add a ban

  1. Open the organizer workspace and select Banned Players.
  2. Select Ban players.
  3. Either Search your community for the account, or use Paste emails for one address per line.
  4. Ban.

Bans are by TopDeck.gg account. Only players with an account can be banned. A manually added name has nothing to attach a ban to. Prefer the community search result: it resolves the account you actually mean, rather than an address they may no longer use.

The result summary separates Banned, Already banned, and Failed, with the reason on each failure.

What it stops, and what it does not

An active ban blocks:

  • The player registering themselves through your event page or the app
  • Staff adding them from Roster, in any of the three add methods
  • Joining a team on your events

It does not:

  • Cancel a registration they already have
  • Refund anything
  • Remove them from an event in progress
  • Affect events owned by other organizers

If they are already registered somewhere, open that event's Roster and drop or delete them there. Refunding is a separate action. See Payment processing.

What the player sees

Registration is refused. TopDeck.gg does not publish your ban list, and nothing you record here is shown to the player.

If your policy requires notice or an appeal path, send that yourself through your normal conduct process. The platform will not do it for you.

Lift a ban

Select Unban on the row, or tick several rows and unban them together. That restores their ability to register for future events. It does not bring back a deleted registration or reverse a refund.

Access

Banned Players is part of the organizer subscription workspace. An event staff role, even Admin on an event, does not grant organization-wide ban management.
