Event Details:

Competitive MTG, cold brews with mates and a lucrative prize pool. What’s not to love about Brisbane’s inaugural Mana & Malt tournament?

Come show your support and play in one of THE BEST value tournaments Brisbane has to offer at Brewtide Brewery in Albion. The later start allows for players from all around Brisbane, the coasts and inner-country to come compete!

Think you have what it takes to be crowned the first Mana & Modern Champion? Prove it.

⏰ Time: 11:30am registration & check-in for 12:00pm Round 1 start

📍 Venue: Brewtide Brewery, 31 Collingwood St, Albion

Format: Modern

COMP: REL (Judge / Rules Arbiter will be present & decklists are required)

Note: Digital decklists can be lodged via Moxfield.com

We will have copies of paper decklists on the day for anyone who cannot submit via Moxfield

Entry: $50 CASH

💰Prize Support: $1,500 CASH (30 players x $50 entry)

Note: If you’re currently banned from a store, you are not welcome at this event.

Event Registration

As this is the first event of this kind, I want to keep numbers limited to 30 players.

Preregistration

You can preregister to reserve your spot, subject to a non-refundable $10 deposit. If you preregister, make sure to bring the remaining $40 in cash on the day.

You can pre-register in 2 steps:

You’re also welcome to register on the day, however, I cannot guarantee spots. In the event the tournament does cap through pre-registrations, I’ll make sure that’s communicated as soon as it’s reached.

Note: Please create a topdeck.gg account as this will be the platform we use on the day and where you’ll receive your pairings. You can also add your Moxfield decklist link to your registration.

Transport options:

Parking: There’s a ton of street parking in the area (especially being a Sunday) Train: Albion train station is a 10 minute walk

For those coming from out of Brisbane, Albion (and Brewtide) is only a few minutes off the ICB

Around the area (food / drink):

Brewtide has a pretty fantastic menu to cater for all dietary requirements, but if you’re in need of something else:

Fonzie Abbott is just around the corner. Great for if you’re after a coffee, breaky beforehand or some tournament snacks

Maccas is just up a short walk up the road as well for those who love a sneaky cheese.

• Going with mates? Organise a car pool! (Great for players from the coast / Toowomba etc)
• Get to Brewtide with ample time to get yourself ready! Aim for arrival before 11.45am
• Get a drink or some food on the day to support Brewtide! They’ve been fantastic with requests and I hope for them to be a venue for future tournaments
