Tournament Tiers
Each tournament tier determines how many points competitors can earn.
Bronze
Participants: 16+
These are your locals. Earn points playing in events at your LGS or other locals!
Silver
Participants: 32+
Bronze events that reach the threshold are automatically upgraded to silver.
Gold
Participants: 60+
Partnered events. Think of these as regionals where the best players of the area duke it out.
Platinum
Participants: 128+
Gold events upgraded to Platinum. Requires TopDeck.gg payment processing.
Diamond
TopDeck.gg Official & Endorsed Events
The biggest events of the season. Only about 4 per season.

Additional Point Allocation: Once you've reached the maximum number of placements for a tier, points from subsequent placements will be allocated to the next lower tier. If you have also maxed out that lower tier, the points will continue to cascade downwards to the next available tier.

Qualify based on the leaderboard.
This will be the top 56 players on the leaderboard (assuming 4 Diamond events)
Wildcard
Qualify based on votes
Players in 61st-68th place can campaign for 4 wildcard spots
Standardized Ruleset
All events must be posted and run through TopDeck.gg. Payment processing is recommended but not required, except for Platinum events which MUST use TopDeck.gg payment processing.
Players must enter events with their TopDeck.gg accounts for proper point tracking. No manual entry is allowed.
- Must follow MTR Addendum
- 80-minute rounds
- No turns
- 5 points per win, 1 point per draw, 0 points per loss
- No 5 person pods
- Follow the correct number of recommended rounds for event size (see MTR Addendum)
- Proper top cuts based on attendance (see MTR Addendum)

FAQ
The series runs from September 16th, 2024 to late August 2025. The cutoff for points will be July 20th, 2025.
64 players will qualify for the Invitational event.
Four players can qualify based on a public vote. Players in 61st-68th place on the leaderboard can campaign for votes. Voters will purchase votes, with the money being put towards charity.
If a player declines their invite, it will go to the next person on the leaderboard. The same applies to campaign slots. Direct qualifications (Diamond event winners) cannot be given away.
Yes, all events in the TopDeck Championship series must adhere to certain rules. These include 80-minute rounds, no turns, and specific pod structures. See the Standardized Ruleset section for more details.

Any store or tournament organizer can become a partner. There are different partnership levels available, from Bronze/Silver to Gold/Platinum.
