Gem State CEDH: Spring Sea-EDH 3/21

A year after the Spring Summoning kicked off the first of many Gem State CEDH events, we are ringing in the new year with Gem State CEDH: Spring Sea-EDH!

We're vamping up the prize pool, breaking out the snacks and drinks, and bringing the heat! Join us on Saturday, March 21st, for the first big event of 2026!

Just like with every event, we'll have over $1k in prizing, and everyone who participates will get a single entry into each round giveaway for a variety of cool stuff -- Secret Lairs, sick alters, Infinitokens, a Showcase Deckbox with mystery packs inside, and more!

We will reveal the rest of the prize pool as we finalize it -- but don't miss out on your chance to score the highly coveted Underground Sea!

Event Structure will be following TopDeck Championship rules and guidelines, and the MTR Addendum:

• 80 minute rounds
• No turns
• 5 points per win, 1 point per draw, 0 points per loss
• No 5 person pods

Surprise Booster Box Giveaway!

To celebrate a successful first year series in 2025, we're going to try and break our player record! If we get more players registered for this event than our original 2025 March event, we'll give away a random booster box to one lucky winner! That means if we get 60 or more players signed up and checked in on event day! Invite your friends, or drag the whole pod along!

Dates & Timeline Saturday, March 21, 2026 Venue Opens: 9am Registration Cut-Off & Decklist Submission: 10am Player Meeting: 10:15am Event Start Time: 10:30am A break will be proposed a few rounds in; we'll put it to a vote or break for food!

Vendors & Food! Sam & Matt will be selling singles, sealed, and accessories all day! Purchases go towards covering venue fees for these events and bringing more MTG to the Boise community!

There will also be cheap snacks and drinks available for purchase while supplies last. Outside food is also welcome, and there are restaurants nearby.

Final Prizing, Rounds, and Top Cut will be determined by the final player attendance on the day of the event:

For 32 - 47 players: First Place: Lion's Eye Diamond 2nd - 4th Place: Chrome Mox 5th - 10th Place: Rhystic Study

For 48 - 63 players: First Place: Underground Sea 2nd - 4th Place: HP Wheel of Fortune 5th - 10th Place: Rhystic Study

For 64+ players: First Place: Gaea's Cradle 2nd - 4th Place: TBD 5th - 16th Place: Rhystic Study

Venue Information

This event is held at the Idaho Outdoor Association Hall at 3401 Brazil St, Boise, ID 83715.

• There is a large gravel parking lot, so parking won't be an issue at all.
• Hotels and the freeway exit are nearby! If you need suggestions or direction, please email [email protected].
• There are plenty of food and recreational activity locations nearby if you want to grab some food during the event or go out after!
• Unfortunately, at this time, the Idaho Outdoor Association is not entirely handicap-accessible. Please send me an email in advance if you need accomodations, and I'll do everything I can.
