Valentines day is a day to appreciate our love, and this event is to show our love to our format and to the vulnerable individuals in our community. We are hosting a large non profit charity event at Rising Phoenix Games dedicated to the Mermaids Foundation, an organization focused on aiding both young and old trans and gender non conforming individuals. We will be donating 50% of the entry costs of each player as well as 100% of any donations from January 4th to the charity.

We will be using the cEDH UK addendum for Tournament Rules and Infraction Procedures along with the following rules:
Playtest cards allowed (full color and recognizable art) 80 minute rounds (without turns) A fixed 5 rounds Swiss followed with an appropriate top cut for the number of players These rules are subject to change before the event and any changes will be made clear during event announcements.
Prizing Prizing scales on event attendance, 50% of the entry fees will go towards prizing in physical cards as well as an additional contribution from staff and organizers. A minimum prize for the winner will be a reserve listed card acquired before the event, this will be announced through Rising Phoenix's Discord and also cEDH UK's events channel.
PLEASE READ- Prizing is finalized on the 1st February, any further entries will not be added to prizing but will be donated entirely to the charity mentioned above.

Accommodation We have many cheaper hotels nearby the venue, normally priced around 35-60GBP for a night, for any guidance, do send any questions to the contact information above.
Parking Parking is available close to the venue - multiple Middlesbrough Council car parks are less than a minute walk away from the venue. Please check any parking restrictions that may be in force - on event announcement, parking is currently priced at around 4-6GBP but this may change. Currently we have the council car parks behind the store closed for construction.
Food and Drink The venue does not allow outside food and drinks. Cold drinks, snacks and hot food are available to purchase in store.
The store is located in the town center with other shops and food establishments.
