Tuscaloosa playing for the Diamond

Welcome to Tuscaloosa Playing for a Diamond presented by Down to Game. This will be a 40 player event with a top cut to top 10. Players will playing for a Mox Diamond From the Vault edition. Event will begin at 12pm with a player meeting at 12:30pm and first round beginning at 1:00pm. Players will play in 5 rounds of Swiss. Afterwards having a top cut to top 10. Price for event will be $25 dollars.

Registration: Players will have to have a top deck.gg account to register and submit deck list. Rounds will be given out through topdeck and submission of rounds will be down through topdeck as well. Topdeck.gg accounts are free to sign up. Preregistration will be allowed to reserve your spot.

Proxies: Proxies will be 100% allowed for the event. We want this event to be easily accessible to all player new or old. Proxies must be indistinguishable from the other cards as parts of your library while sleeved. (Ideally you should not be able to tell by the sleeve openings or thickness which cards are proxies and which are not). There are 5 colors to the MTG color wheel plus colorless artifacts and lands as well as multi-colored cards. The Proxy prints you choose to use must reflect these differences in color. (IE no blue lightning bolts, or black and white cards). All proxies must contain appropriate text, names, card types, mana cost, colors, power and toughness, loyalty, etc. It must be readily apparent what these proxies represent, so our boardstates are not misrepresented or lost to confusion. Proxies must be legible prints. Please no hand-written proxies in your decks. Everyone must be able to readily recognize the cards for what they represent and read the words on them.

Rounds & Top Cut: Players will play in 5 80 minute rounds. After the 5 rounds players will be cut to the top 10 players. 1st and 2nd after Swiss will have byes and immediately be placed in the final. The rest of the top 10 players will play in 2 semifinal rounds for the last 2 seats. Both semifinal and final rounds will have no time limit. Between the last round of Swiss and the semifinal rounds if player need a food break one will be given.

Pricing: 1st place will win a Mox Diamond (From the Vault) 2nd place will win a foil Chrome Mox (Bonus sheet from Aetherdrift) 3rd and 4th place will both receive 50 dollars in store credit If 40 players cannot be met 1st place will be a Scrubland( Revised) 2nd place will still be the Chrome Mox. 3rd and 4th place prizing will vary.
