Event Details
North Star CEDH is proud to bring you The Summer Classic II at Lewis Game Shop in Monitcello MN! This will be multiple first for MN CEDH as we are looking to give away multiple blue duals with cash prizing on top! This event will be capped at 128 players, please register beforehand. Decklists will be required before you check-in on Saturday July 12th. This event will be live streamed on twitch @Northstarcedh. Entry will be $65 for this event. Rules This tournament has a 128 Player Cap.
There will be 5 rounds of swiss.
Each round will be be 80 minutes in length.
After time in round is called active player will finish their turn and the game will end in a draw.
Wins are worth 5 points Draws are worth 1 point.
After swiss there will be a cut to top 16 based on points awarded during the swiss then a single elimination round will take place to determine top 4. (Top 16 cut always dependent on attendance).
This tournament will utilize the Competitive MTR/IPG Addendum created by Eminence and will be held to Comp REL standards.
This tournament will utilize Command Tower for the pairing software and determining turn order.
Byes that are awarded due to awkward pairings will be considered a win and worth 5 points.
Prizing: 1st Underground Sea plus $600 2nd Volcanic Island plus $350 3rd Tropical Island plus $250 4th Tundra plus $200 5th-16th $120 each 5k prizing starts at 84 players Proxies: Proxies must be indistinguishable from the other cards as parts of your library while sleeved. (Ideally you should not be able to tell by the sleeve openings or thickness which cards are proxies and which are not). There are 5 colors to the MTG color wheel plus colorless artifacts and lands as well as multi-colored cards. The Proxy prints you choose to use must reflect these differences in color. (IE no blue lightning bolts, or black and white multi-colored cards). All proxies must contain appropriate text, names, card types, mana cost, colors, power and toughness, loyalty, etc. It must be readily apparent what these proxies represent, so our boardstates are not misrepresented or lost to confusion. Proxies must be legible prints. Please no hand-written proxies in your decks. Everyone must be able to readily recognize the cards for what they represent and read the words on them.
