Hellbent Events is proud to present The Burg Beatdown cEDH Tournament!!!
This is a 32 player event held at our very own Thanks For Playing game store located in Martinsburg, West Virginia
EVENT STRUCTURE – Doors open: 11:30am Player Meeting: 12:00pm Round 1 starts: 12:05pm This event will be 5 70 rounds of swiss followed by a semifinals cut to Top 10, then finals cut to Top 4. Overtime will be limited to 10 minutes before the game is considered a draw.
PRIZE SUPPORT – $30 buy-in. 100% of your buy-in will go into the prize pool! Prizes will be paid out in store credit. Cash can be paid out upon request at 75% of initial prize value. Payout will vary depending on player count.
The structure will be as follows:
At 32 players: 1st Place - $450 2nd-4th - $170 At 16 Players: 1st Place - $210 2nd-4th - $90 Less than 16 Players: Prizing will be discussed and announced at the player meeting!
PROXY POLICY – cEDH cards are ridiculously expensive so this event is 100% PROXY FRIENDLY. Players will need “test cards” in color and with clearly printed names, mana cost and rules of the cards. Cards MUST use WOTC official art. MDFC blank cards can be used and will require full text, mana cost and names. MDFC placeholders are limited to 10 cards per player. Handwriting must be legible.
Altered cards are allowed at this event as long as the card name, mana value, and P/T are visible. If you're unsure if your altered card or proxy is allowed, please ask a judge at the event or send a message into our discord!
DECKLISTS – Decklists are required and must be submitted through TopDeck before the start of the event. If any updates have been made after submission, please resubmit your decklist as these changes may not show on our end.
PAYMENT – Payment for this event will ONLY be accepted at the door. Registration through TopDeck will reserve your spot, but payment will lock it in. In the event that you are late or do not show, your spot will be considered a "no-show" and become available to any last minute players.
