CEDH SUMMER LEAGUE 2024
Event Information
CEDH Italy is proud to present the Summer CEDH League at Warmaster Store in Ciampino (Rome).
This is a structured, competitive, multi-week league for players looking to test their decks, climb the leaderboard, and qualify for high-level events. The League will run across eight Thursday evenings, with 14 total Swiss rounds and a final playoff.
Structure
The League will take place on: June 5, 12, 19, 26 — July 3, 10, 17, 24
Store opens at 20:00, Registration begins at 21:30, Rounds begin at 22:00
There will be 2 Swiss rounds per night, for a total of 14 rounds.
The 8th night (July 24) will feature 1 bonus round (not counting for the leaderboard) with special prizes and a Top 8 playoff for final rankings and the prize pool.
Rules
All players must register through TopDeck. The entry fee is €5 per night, to be paid at the store. New players get their first night free. The League follows MTG Competitive REL, with certified judges or tournament organizers present. It also adheres to the European CEDH guidelines, which can be consulted here: https://juizes-mtg-portugal.github.io/
Each round will last 80 minutes. After time is called, players complete the current turn and then have a hard limit of 20 additional minutes. If no winner emerges in that window, the match ends in a draw. At any point during the round – within the 80 regular minutes or the 20 additional minutes – players may agree to an Intentional Draw, which must be unanimously agreed upon by all players at the table, including those already eliminated.
Within the 80-minute time window, players still in the game may also agree to a Game Restart, a special form of Intentional Draw. In that case, a new game begins with all original players (including those eliminated) in their original positions and turn order. The round timer does not reset: the restarted game must be completed within the original time. Only players still in the game may request a Game Restart, eliminated players do not have a say, although they will participate in the restarted game. A TO must be called to approve any Game Restart. Game Restarts are not allowed during the 20 additional minutes.
Proxies & Decklists
This League is fully proxy friendly. You may proxy any number of cards in your deck. Proxies must feature recognizable Magic: The Gathering artwork and be clearly distinguishable from real cards (e.g., different back). Decklists are mandatory and must be submitted on TopDeck via a Moxfield link at least 30 minutes before each event begins. Players may switch decks between rounds only if both decklists are included in the same Moxfield page (e.g., in the description field).
Trial decks are available upon request for anyone who wants to try out the format or test new builds, contact the TO to reserve one.
Scoring:
- Win = 5 points
- Draw = 1 point
- Loss = 0 points
Prizing
Nightly Prizes
Each night, the winner of the first round at each table receives a prize: this may be a staple card, store credit, or booster (including Collector Boosters). In case of a draw, the prize rolls over to the next round. If the second round also ends in a draw, the prize will be added to the League finals pool or redistributed.
