Playtest Proxy Card Policy
100% Playtest Proxy card friendly!
Requirements
- For this event, as it is 3K+, paper slips are not permitted. You must use a printed proxy playtest card, we recommend MPC.
- Cards must use official Magic: the Gathering artwork that has been used on an official version of that card (basically anything that comes up on Scryfall for that card)
- The only exception to the above is as follows: a normal artwork of that card that has been "proxied" to be either borderless or old border
- Cards must contain printed English language rules text for that printed version (STA Tainted Pact Exists, and since that printing is JP only, it will be permitted. However, we do recommend a version of the card that is printed in English)
- Take care to ensure that you cannot distinguish between cards from the back, either by sight or feel.
Recommendations
- We recommend that your deck be 100% or 0% playtests. This minimizes the risk of accidentally marked cards due to possible inconsistencies in thickness.
- We recommend refraining from borderless and poster variant arts that are illegible. This will minimize time extensions and make the tourney move quicker. We also recommend English printing of proxies for the same reason.
Reminder that this is for proxy playtest cards. If you own real foreign language cards, borderless cards, illegible secret lairs, feel free to use and alter as you see fit.
Feel free to reach out for any questions regarding playtest proxy card policy.
