About this event

ROAD TO THE COLISEUM: HALLOWEEN $7K

The Road to the Coliseum continues with a special Halloween competitive Commander (cEDH) event at Infinity Game Lounge.

$5,000 PRIZE SUPPORT — UPGRADABLE TO $7,000

This event begins with $5,000 in guaranteed prize support.

If more than half of all event entries arrive wearing a full head-to-toe cosplay or Halloween costume, the total prize pool increases to $7,000.

No cheeseballing it. A hat, mask, cape, costume shirt, or single accessory does not qualify. We are looking for legitimate head-to-toe costumes and real Halloween participation.

ENTRY

General Entry: $100

Players who have earned a Road to the Coliseum Invitational Spot receive FREE ENTRY and are guaranteed a 1st-seat position during Round 1 or Round 2 based on their ranking entering the event.

EVENT SCHEDULE

Saturday, October 31

Tournament begins promptly at 10:00 AM.

Please arrive early enough to complete check-in, deck registration, proxy verification if necessary, and all required tournament procedures before Round 1 begins.

PROXY FRIENDLY

This event is proxy friendly, but proxies must use an actual Magic: The Gathering card front or otherwise clearly and accurately reproduce the actual card face.

Infinity Game Lounge believes competitive Commander should be about player skill, deck construction, decision-making, and competition — not simply who owns the most expensive pieces of cardboard.

You are not required to own an authentic copy of a card in order to use a proxy of that card during this event.

However, proxies must meet tournament standards so gameplay remains clear and fair for everyone.

Proxy requirements:

• Proxies must clearly represent the card they are intended to represent.

• The card name must be immediately identifiable.

• The proxy should accurately display the actual MTG card face, including the card name, mana cost, type line, and relevant rules text.

• Custom artwork or altered layouts that make the underlying card difficult to identify are not acceptable for tournament play.

• All cards must be sleeved so proxies, foils, altered cards, and authentic cards cannot be identified from the back or while face down.

• Proxy construction may not create differences in thickness, texture, rigidity, size, or any other physical characteristic that could allow the card to be identified while shuffled or face down.

• Handwritten MDFCs are acceptable as long as they are clean, legible, and unmistakably identify the represented card.

• High-quality printed proxies are welcome.

• If tournament staff determines that a proxy is confusing, marked, physically distinguishable, inaccurate, or otherwise unsuitable for tournament play, the player may be required to replace it before continuing.

Proxy friendly does not mean tournament standards disappear. Your deck must still be identifiable, consistent, and legal for the format.

COMPETITIVE cEDH TOURNAMENT RULES

This is a competitive Commander tournament.

Players should arrive prepared for tournament-level gameplay, clear communication, judge involvement, and consistent rules enforcement.

Current Magic: The Gathering Comprehensive Rules, Commander rules, and announced tournament-specific rules will govern gameplay.

Decklists must be submitted according to tournament registration requirements and must accurately represent the deck being played.

Players are responsible for maintaining clear and accurate game states, including life totals, commander damage, triggers, targets, priority, floating mana, and other relevant game information.

Players are expected to communicate actions clearly. Shortcuts are acceptable when understood by the table, but any player may request clarification.

If there is a rules disagreement, unclear interaction, gameplay discrepancy, or concern about another player’s actions, stop the game and call a judge.

Do not attempt to resolve serious tournament disputes by arguing across the table. Let tournament staff handle them.

Judge and tournament staff rulings must be respected. Appeals may be made through the appropriate tournament process when an appeal is available.

Cheating, intentionally misrepresenting game information, manipulating tournament results, marked cards, unauthorized outside assistance, or deliberately misleading opponents or tournament staff will be handled strictly.

Slow play and intentional delays designed to manipulate a game, round, or tournament result will not be tolerated.

Table politics, threat assessment, deal-making, and strategic negotiation are legitimate parts of multiplayer Commander.

Bribery, coercion, harassment, intimidation, threats, or inappropriate outside-game pressure are not.

DECK LEGALITY

Decks must contain exactly 100 cards including the commander or commanders, except where a legal card or mechanic specifically modifies deck construction.

Commander color identity rules apply.

Singleton restrictions apply except for basic lands and cards whose rules specifically permit additional copies.

Cards prohibited under the applicable Commander banned list may not be played.

Your submitted decklist must match the deck you play during the tournament.

GAME & TABLE CONDUCT

Competitive Commander involves interaction, politics, negotiation, threat assessment, and occasionally very complicated board states.

Clear communication is therefore especially important.

Maintain accurate life totals and commander damage.

Clearly announce spells, abilities, targets, attacks, and relevant triggers.

Do not intentionally obscure required public information.

Players may ask for clarification of cards, board states, game actions, and publicly available information.

Players may negotiate and make in-game agreements, but each player remains responsible for their own game decisions.

Never offer money, prizes, tournament compensation, or outside consideration in exchange for a game action or tournament result.

SPORTSMANSHIP IS EVERYTHING AT IGL

We cannot stress this enough: sportsmanship is everything at Infinity Game Lounge.

There is significant prize support attached to this event, and we absolutely expect people to compete hard and play to win.

What we will not accept is anyone using competitive play as an excuse to treat another person poorly.

Expect strict enforcement of IGL conduct standards.

Screaming at another player, personal insults, bullying, discriminatory behavior, harassment, threats, intimidation, aggressive confrontation, excessive arguing with staff, or intentionally creating a hostile environment have no place at an Infinity Game Lounge tournament.

Play the game aggressively. Treat the people across from you respectfully.

If there is a problem, call a judge.

If you disagree with another player, call a judge.

If you believe a rule has been violated, call a judge.

If you believe someone is cheating, call a judge.

Do not turn a gameplay disagreement into a personal confrontation.

Players are expected to respect opponents, spectators, tournament organizers, judges, staff, and the venue.

Depending on severity or repetition, violations of conduct standards may result in warnings, tournament penalties, game losses, removal from the event, removal from the venue, or additional IGL disciplinary action.

Protecting the experience of the players who participate in our community is more important to us than any individual entry fee.

Win with class. Lose with class.

Good sportsmanship is not optional at IGL.
