1.) LEAGUE STRUCTURE:
- There will be 5 formal league events in Johannesburg where players will accumilate league points and win prizes. All points acumilate toward your final league standing.
- The Top 8 Players will be invited to the finals to battle it out for the winner of the first Povo Pauper League.
- Finals will have the biggest prize support & the Winner's name will be engraved on a trophy displayed behind counter @ Nexus for all to see 🏆
- Fully Sanctioned event (no proxies, decklists needed & decks will be submitted to mtgtop8).
2.) LEAGUE VALUES ("WHAT TO EXPECT"):
- TOP Heavy Prize support. Other than the finals, only the top 3 players of each event are guaranteed prizes. Last place will receive a "Sadness Milktart", courtesy of Spar 🍰
- Accessibility & Community Engagement - Cheap Entry tickets (R75 per event). We also have 8 x competitive decks to borrow to people who want to try out the format 🙏
- Longevity of the league & growth of Pauper. We want to foster long term community engagement & growing a beloved format 🫶🏽

4.) PRIZE SUPPORT FOR FINALS (more to be announced) 💰
- The Top Tart of the League (Winner) will have his name immortalized on a trophy displayed at Nexus.
- The Top 3 will receive personalized deckboxes with their names engraved on it, hand drawn laminated pauper tokens, boosters, promos & other magic accessories.
- All unique token art is designed by our local High Tide Enthusiast Devon.
