The entry fee is 30 € and must be paid in person at the event location. To register for the event, please register here on the event page. The event will be 100 % proxy friendly. That means that you can use "playtest" cards as long as they adhere to the following:
- Printed proxies from sites such as MPC.
- Clearly marked as proxies, for example with a different cardback.
- No paperslips in front of cards.
- Official artwork, everything you can find on Scryfall is allowed.
- Indistinguishable from the rest of the deck in sleeves.
- 5 swiss rounds with 80 minutes per round. Once time is reached, the active player finishes their turn and the game ends. If the turn passes and no one has won, the game will result in a draw.
- Top 16 + Top 4 without time limit.
- 5 points for wins and 0 points for draws.
- Hidden standings during swiss rounds.
- No byes, low standings will get paired into 3 player pods if necessary.
- Competetive REL.
We believe that the current system is flawed, encouraging negative and toxic behavior among players. We aim to ensure cEDH tournaments are won through skillful gameplay rather than gaming the point system with forced draws to secure their spot in the top 16. By eliminating draws and implementing hidden standings, we hope to take a bold step in the right direction. This may not be the ultimate fix, but it is a bold experiment we believe will take us in the right direction.
Yes, decklists MUST be submitted before the start of round 1 day of the event. Decklists not submitted will result in a penalty to your round 1 match. Please create your decklist in Moxfield and upload to the event on your TopDeck profile.
