Arguably the simplest way to get to Malvern would be via any Pakenham/Frankston bound trains. As it is less than a 10 minute walk from Malvern station.
Alternatively, there are several tram routes that are relatively close to the store like the route 16.
Most street parking options near the venue are time limited and some are paid and time limited. Unfortunately there are no all day paid parking options nearby. So drive at your own risk.
3 x 80 minute rounds followed by a top 4 cut to finals.
During Swiss, once time is called play will continue until the end of the turn. However, there will also be a hard 20 minute cap on overtime. If a winner cannot be decided in that time the match result will be considered a draw.
Additionally, each finals round will have a hard cap of 2.5 hours. After which time if a winner cannot be decided, the win will be awarded to the player in seat 1.
We understand that these rule changes may not be ideal for some but these measures have been put in place for logistical reasons and for the consideration of event staff.

This is a strict cap as space in the store is limited.
Excluding operational costs (software fees and transaction fees which is ~$25), all of ticketing sales will be contributing to the prize pool.
The final prize pool will depend on total player numbers.
Prizing will be awarded to those who make top cut and will be awarded as store credit.
As this is a smaller scale event, we are trialling this event without a judge. This is mainly due to the short notice of the event and to not take too much from the prize pool. That being said, MCL staff and General Games store staff will be happy to assist with any judge calls should they be required.
This event will be play-test friendly.
You will need to use "test cards" that are printed in colour and utilize recognizable art. These printouts can be slipped in front of another card however the printout must not be seen from the top of the sleeve.
