Tournament information:

Please read all information thoroughly failure to comply with certain requirements may cause you to be removed from the event.
Requirements - Available to all Marvel Snap players. You must join the Snap Judgments League (SJL) discord server https://discord.gg/gzpjapaYXS to communicate matches with your opponents. You must register for an account on Topdeck.gg (our match making software). Matches will be played consecutively; therefore; there will be a commitment to play for 5-9 hours depending on the number of players that register. Players making it to day two will be required to play up to 6 rounds of single elimination for 4-6 hours.
Registration - To register players will need to: register with TopDeck.gg, and join the tournament on TopDeck.gg. Details and common questions can be found in the Snap Judgments League Discord FAQ. When registering for the TopDeck.gg make sure to: 1. Use the name you want visible publicly (you can’t change this after account creation this can be your discord name), 2. Add your Discord username to your profile (how to in FAQ) so others can find you to schedule matches.
Snap Judgments League - All tournament information and player communication will run through the SJL discord server. There are channels set up for official announcements scheduling games and sharing game footage as well as some spaces for you to chat freely. You can reach the staff by opening a ticket on the discord server.
Prizes - Prize payout will be $500 to the Grand Prix Champion, $200 to the runner up, $80 to third and fourth place, and $35 to 5th - 8th.
Pairings - Pairings will be managed through Topdeck.gg and include a number of Swiss rounds depending on the number of players that register. This means you will be placed into a match for all Swiss rounds, win or lose. The Swiss rounds will all be played consecutively on day one earning points for winning matches and draws. The players with the highest points will move on to day two which will consist of a single elimination bracket to give us our Grand Prix Champion.
All pairings will be automated through Topdeck.gg software and based upon your position throughout the event. Opponent’s win percentage will determine tie breakers and overall standings.
Deck Selection - Players will submit a deck that will be used throughout the event and unaltered from game to game. You must play the same exact deck throughout the tournament. Topdeck.gg has a deck submission feature that will be used to enforce this rule. The tournament will have closed deck lists on day one and open deck lists on day two.

Rules:
Participants will use the SJL discord server to coordinate their matches. This will be the only method you and your opponents have to find each other. Please make sure your Discord information is correct.
Round one will begin at 1200pm EST. Each round will be 45 minutes. The next round will begin directly after the previous round. Day two will begin at 1200pm EST and the rounds will not be timed.
Once pairings are posted, on Topdeck.gg, either match player will make a post on the SJL server in the match-scheduling forum channel. To do this create a post there and tag them. Important: Make sure that you tag them in the body of the post otherwise they will not get notified. Players will be using the Friendly Battle mode to play games (how to in FAQ). These will be best of one conquest style matches.
Topdeck.gg has a self-reporting feature that will be utilized as our primary tracking source (how to in FAQ). It is HIGHLY encouraged that you take a screenshot of the game when it is over this will be the best way to verify results. Please contact league staff immediately if you have any disputed results.
Match wins award 5 points. Match losses award 0 points. Draws award 1 point. Players may intentionally draw their matches.
Players will have 10 minutes to coordinate with their opponents. If a player is 10 minutes late to a match they will be given a match loss for that round.
If a player disconnects from Marvel Snap during a match the player who did not disconnect will be the victor. The disconnected player may request a rematch but please be advised that it is 100% up to the non-disconnected player. This is to avoid intentional disconnection before losing.
In the case of a player being given a bye during a round they will receive the same amount of points as a player winning their match.
Players may drop from the tournament at any time. To do so please reach out to the league staff. If a player does not respond to their opponent, does not play a match, and cannot be contacted before the end of a round they will be dropped from the event for the following round.
Cheating by trying to find loopholes in any of these rules may result in disqualification and possible ban from future leagues.
Unsportsmanlike conduct and unbecoming behavior throughout the event (including on the server or any other public or semi-public space) may result in disqualification and possible ban from future leagues.
