Event Information

We will have 32 spots available! Doors will open at 10:00 AM, with a player's meeting scheduled for 10:45 AM and Round 1 starting at 11:00 AM. This tournament will have random deck checks throughout the event, as well as deck checks before the final game to ensure no marked cards or sleeves are being used. This tournament is fully proxy friendly - however, we ask that your proxies are indistinguishable from each other or real magic cards while in sleeves. Therefore, if you are using paper slips in front of cards, we ask that your entire deck is prepared as such, to avoid any unintentionally marked cards.

Entry is $40, with a cap of 32 players. Make sure to register online or call the store to get registered for the event. Payment will be taken day of, during the 10:00-10:45 AM registration window. Anyone unable to register can be put on a wait-list by calling the store. Wait-list players will be added to the event in the order they are on the list. Please submit your deck lists online after registering for the event, or in person during the registration window.

The event will be run using Swiss pairings provided by Command Tower. Rounds will have a time limit of 80 minutes. After this time limit, the active player will be allowed to finish their turn. If, by the end of that turn, there is still no winner determined, the table will end in a draw. Winning players will be awarded 5 points, and any players at a drawn table will receive 1 point each. After 4 Swiss, there will be a cut to Top 16 for Semifinals/Finals games. In the event of a tie in points, the Top 16 will be decided by Opponent Win Percentage. Semifinals and Finals will be untimed, and cannot end in a draw. There will be a 30-minute break after round 3 for lunch.

Rules

1. We will not tolerate or condone any bullying, harassment, or other disrespectful behavior towards other players, patrons or staff. This extends to king-making and spite plays that affect the integrity of the games being played.
2. The official Commander ban list will be observed for this event, as well as the Eminence Competitive REL MTR/IPG Addendum for Commander Events.
3. Genuine MTG cards in any language may be used for the event, in accordance with official rules.
4. We ask that any proxies are indistinguishable from each other or real cards in your decks. If paper slips are used, we ask that the entire deck is prepared as such. If authentic cards are being used, we ask that only single pieces of cardboard of appropriate thickness are used instead. If your proxies are distinguishable in any way from the rest of the deck, you may be penalized for marked cards.

Prizing

The event will have up to $1,050 in cash prizing, based on attendance! The maximum prize allotment will be as follows:

1st - $300 2nd-4th - $150 5th-8th - $75

Second through fourth place will be determined by the remaining players in the finals table. Fifth through eighth and ninth through sixteenth will be determined by final Swiss placements going into Top 16. Due to the size of the event, we will not be paying out ninth through sixteenth for Top 16.
