The Mana Vault is proud to announce it's second charity tournament in memory of Cian Colony. A pillar of our community and game Cian was like no other, in order to honor his name and keep his spirit in our store we have decided to run an annual charity tournament where all proceeds from the event are donated to the Cian Colony Memorial Scholorship. To make this event even more special we have pulled out all the stops to get some amazing prizes for our competitors! With the grand prize being an artist proof pair Tymna and Kraum! But don't worry all 64 players will receive a gift from us at The Mana Vault as a a thank you for attending such a special event and the top 16 will be showered with many more! There will also be silent auctions as well as donation links and limited edition playmats from no other than GoldSabertooth himself to commemorate this day available for sale at the event. ALL PROCEEDS BEING DONATED!! This event will be capped at 64 players and WILL sell out fast! You MUST be Pre-Registered in order to participate in the event. Decklists will be required.

We have recently partnered up with Topdeck.gg for our Second Season as a Gold Partner Store! This means all of our From The Vault cEDH events now feed into Topdecks pro-tour for cEDH! For this event and those moving forward: top placing participants will earn points toward a seat in the Premier Championship Circuit to be held in 2025! The refund window for registration payments closes on Sept 25th at 11:59PM! Refunds will not be issued for any cancellations after that time, so make sure you plan accordingly!

Statement From The Colony's

We are very excited for the Second Annual Cian Colony Memorial Magic the Gathering tournament.

This year has been dark and trying time for our family and we miss Cian so very much. One of his favorite activities was playing Magic, whether it was locally with his friends or in tournaments with others across the country – many of whom became his friends after playing with him. We would firstly like to thank Adam, Sam and Jeff for their kindness to hold another tournament for Cian. It looks like, again, it will be an iconic, can’t-miss event. We would also like to thank all those who supported our family at last year’s event, and thank all those who will come to this year’s event as well.

Proceeds from this event will go toward the Cian Colony Memorial Scholarship at Gateway Technical College. Cian earned his Arboriculture/Urban Forestry degree at Gateway and this scholarship will go to help students entering that career field or students who are Eagle Scout recipients. Thank you so much for all who will be contributing toward this, this scholarship could mean to difference between staying at school and earning a degree or dropping out because a student can’t afford tuition or costs. You will be, literally, changing someone’s life through your generosity.

Rules

​ This tournament has a 64 Player Cap.

There will be 5-6 rounds of swiss, based on participation.

Each round will be be 80 minutes in length.

After time in round is called active player will finish their turn and the game will end in a draw.

Wins are worth 5 points Draws are worth 1 point.

After swiss there will be a cut to top 16 based on points awarded during the swiss then a single elimination round will take place to determine top 4. (Top 16 cut always dependent on attendance).

This tournament will utilize the Competitive MTR/IPG Addendum created by Eminence and will be held to Comp REL standards.

This tournament will utilize Command Tower for the pairing software and determining turn order.

Byes that are awarded due to awkward pairings will be considered a win and worth 5 points.
