Commander Academy: Silent Vault of Lorwyn in Partnership with OriGami

🧭 Format:
• 4–5 Rounds Swiss (depending on attendance)
• Japanese God of Commander point wager system
• Silent EDH (no politics, no table talk)

In Partnership with OriGami - Commander Academy returns with another skill-focused competitive Commander event.

This time, at Lalaport BBCC where the place is hip and food option is abundant.

Silent Vault of Lorwyn challenges players to compete under strict Silent EDH rules while navigating the strategic mind games of the Japanese God of Commander point wager system.

With no politics and no table talk, every match becomes a test of sequencing, threat assessment, and discipline. Your decisions at the table — and the confidence behind your wagers — will determine your climb through the standings.

At the end of the tournament, the Vault opens.

Collector Boosters will be cracked live, revealing a treasure pool of rares and mythics waiting to be claimed through a standings-based draft.

No persuasion.
No alliances.
Just skill.

🤫 Silent EDH

During gameplay:

• No table talk
• No negotiating
• No political discussions
• No non-verbal actions for attempts of political discussion
• No intentional revealing of your own cards allowed
• Only clear, factual game statements allowed (“I’m declaring attackers,” “I pass priority,” etc.)
• Warnings will be given by judges for infractions.

After a second warning for infractions, if a player is caught with third infraction, the player will be given a turn loss in that game.
4th infraction will result in a game loss while a 5th would result in disqualification from tournament.

Silence tests skill, not persuasion.

🗿 Japanese God of Commander — Point Wager

• Each player starts with 1000 points
• Each round player wagers 7% of their current points.
• Winning player wins all wagered points.
• A draw will result in all players losing the wagered points

Prizing

For every 2 players who join, 1 Lorwyn Eclipsed Collector Booster pack is added to the prize pool.
If player count reaches 18 and above, 1 sealed Secret Lair Artist Series: Kieran Yanner nonfoil will be added to prize pool
E.g. If there are 14 players in the tournament, a total of 7 Lorwyn Eclipsed Collector Booster packs will be in the prize pool.
At the end of the tournament:

• All Collector Boosters (or Secret Lair) will be opened live
• Players will draft rares and mythic rares from the pool
• Draft order is determined by final tournament standings
• 1 pick at a time until the pool is exhausted

Finish higher. Pick earlier.
Claim the treasures of Lorwyn.

Additional Rules

• All participants must submit a decklist to the event by 11 Apr 2026 (Saturday), 1pm on TopDeck.gg.
• Decklist must be submitted as a link (Moxfield is preferred).
• Playtest cards: Any number for this private unsanctioned event.
• All alters must be approved by the Judge/TO before the event begins.
• "Test" Cards must be once piece of cardboard with the same thickness as a normal Magic card.
• You will not be allowed to slip printed pieces of paper in front of a Magic card.
• Must be identifiable as a "Test Card" and NOT counterfeit.
• You must use "Test Card" that are in proper color, using easily identifiable art, without any offensive images (to be determined by Judge/TO).
• Please bring your own tokens, dice, counters and stickers to avoid delays.
• Bring extra pair of sleeves just in case.
• Any player may report in or out of game incidents of harrassment, bullying, kingmaking or colluding.
• Such incidents will be investigated under Infraction Procedure Guide Section 4: Unsporting Conduct.
• The Judge Team and the TO have final say in arbitration on kingmaking/collusion investigations
