Place and date of the event
The tournament will be held on Sunday, July 12th, 2026 at Austria Center Vienna as part of the Spielefest Wien. The address is: Bruno-Kreisky-Platz 1, 1220 Wien. It is recommended to come via public transport, there are limited parking spaces available in the nearby parking garages.
Registrations will be open from 11:00 AM - 12:45 PM CET on the day of the event, with the first round scheduled to start at 1:00 PM. Registration is mandatory, even if you are already registered via topdeck.gg. We have to make sure, that you are actually here to play the tournament. If you do not show up to registration, you will be dropped from the tournament.
Entry and registration
The entry fee is 10 € and must be paid on-site. You also have to register on the Topdeck event page and include your decklist.
IMPORTANT - As this event is held at Spielefest it is also required to separately acquire a day ticket to the Spielefest https://spielefest.wien/ but with the code "mtg20" you can get 20% off the ticket price. Part of the ticket price will also go towards the prize support of this tournament.
Proxy policy
There is no limit on the amount of proxy cards that can be used for this event. Proxy cards must also be in color. Additionally, please ensure that your proxy are printed with original WotC art. If you can find it on Scryfall, the Head Judge is fine with it. If you have questions, please message us. Please ensure that the resolution facilitates easy readability for both fellow players and judges. Gold-bordered cards can be used as proxy for this event.
Paper-slip proxies are not allowed.
Tournament structure
There will be 4 rounds of swiss plus a cut to top 4. Each round is 75 min. Once time is reached, there will be another time limit of 15 minutes for the active player to end his turn. The only way to for another player to have a turn during the time extension is to play an extra turn effect. After the extra time has passed, the game will immediately end in a draw. (This overwrites 2.4. of the Multiplayer Addendum to the MTR)
Players who receive a "slow play" warning during the round will lose their right to politic. (This overwrites 3.3A of the Multiplayer Addendum to the IPG)
Top 4 untimed (150 min time limit after a restart)
For the points we will be using a 7/1/0 system. The matchmaking will be swiss pairings.

Please use Moxfield to submit your Decklist. Decklists will be locked when player registration closes on the event.
Preparation for new Tournament Players
If this is your first cEDH Event, we advise you to prepare for this. Make yourself familiar with the Basic & Comprehensive Rules, the Commander Rules, the MTR and in particular with the Multiplayer addendum MTR & IPG. Take note what variety of issues you can take to a Judge. But please take care to always call a judge should you have any issues, even if it is not specified within the material. Judges are here to help you
Prizing
If there are at least 12 players the winner will qualify themselves for the European cEDH Championship which will be held in Birmingham on the 20th and 21st of March 2027.
The rest of the prizing will consist of cards and/or store credit depending on player count.
