Event Information
Hosted by Bondi Junction Good Games
Entry: $40
Doors open at 10am, Round 1 starts at 11AM SHARP
Round 1-3 80mins each with 10 mins of max overtime before a cut to top 4 finals.
Overtime and Finals Timing:
Swiss round games will be played as 80 minute timed rounds, with 10 minutes maximum overtime. There will be no extra turns allowed.
Once time is called, an additional 10 minutes is added to the active player’s turn. If there is no winner when the active player finishes their turn, or if the additional 10 minutes lapses, the game is a draw. This includes players attempting to win using extra turn loops once time is called (eg. Tivit + Time Sieve, OG Narset etc.).
Additionally, the finals round will have a hard cap of 3 hours with no additional overtime. After which time if a winner cannot be decided, the win will be awarded to the player in seat 1.
Unfortunately due to time constraints, there will not be a scheduled lunch break
Rules
This is an unsanctioned event, Bondi Junction Good Games has graciously let us use their play space.
Proxy Policy: Proxy friendly! Preferred to have proxies as one piece of cardboard. If you are using a mix of paper slips and real cards, it’s advised to double sleeve your real MTG cards so that your cards are all around the same thickness, and to use basic lands not in your decks color identity behind the paper slips where possible. If you are not sure, get in touch with a judge. CARDS MUST HAVE MAGIC THE GATHERING ART ON THEM.
Decklist: All decklists need to be submitted by 11AM on 26th April 2026 on TopDeck. If you don't submit a decklist you will not be able to play, so make sure you get it in on time!
Rules and Banlist: This event will use the most current REL Competitive rules and Multiplayer Commander Banlist and MTR/IPG. The link to the banlist is here: https://magic.wizards.com/en/banned-restricted-list and the most updated MTR/IPG is here: https://topdeck.gg/mtr-ipg-addendum
Additional Multiplayer Addendum:
During a multiplayer game, players are encouraged to concede while they have priority, and the stack is empty on their own turn. Instant speed scooping for any reason other than an emergency will result in a game loss and removal from the event, subject to judge and admin discretion. In this case, an organiser will facilitate any mandatory actions of the conceded player until the stack is empty. In the event this happens in response to combat, the turn will be facilitated until the end of combat.
Missed Trigger rules (No Penalty): In reverse priority order, opposing players decide “Yes” or “No” to place the ability on the stack. The ability is missed unless one or more opposing players decide “Yes” and the table determines that it would not be too disruptive to place the trigger on the stack. Do not place the ability on the stack if significant decisions have been made based on the trigger being missed. Unlike other illegal actions (which must be pointed out), opponents may choose whether or not to point out their opponent’s missed triggers.
Gameplay penalty - Tardiness (Turn Skip): Players not in their seat within 5 minute of the start of the round will skip their next available turn, in this case, likely the first turn. After 10 minutes, the player will be counted as a no-show, and receive a Match Loss. A match will not begin until either all players are in attendance or 10 minutes have elapsed in the round.
All decks need to be shuffled properly and sufficiently randomised at all stages of the game. Once a player finishes shuffling, they must offer it for a cut. The player opposite cuts the deck and play proceeds. Decks and hands must be visible at all times. Removing cards from visibility for any reason can result in a game loss.
Players are encouraged to mediate and resolve rules questions among themselves by referring to the comprehensive rules and oracle text rulings where necessary, and enforce procedures for missed triggers/gameplay errors according to the MTR/IPG rules above. In the event a decision cannot be unanimously agreed upon by the pod, the head judge or event organiser present will act as the final decision maker.
