Big Guava Gamers: Trade N Play cEDH Tournament


INFORMATION:

  • Number of swiss rounds and top cut will be based off player count.
  • Swiss rounds will be 70 minutes long with 15 minute extension on active player (active player has up to 15 minutes to finish their final turn. If no winner decided, result is a draw), followed by top cuts.
  • Final table will be 90 minutes long with 20 minute extension on active player. If time expires in top cuts, player who had highest standing in Swiss rounds advances.
    • No breaks or intermission between rounds. The next round will begin shortly after the conclusion of the final game of the previous round.
  • Entry: We are following the current structure of wins at 5 points, draws at 1 point.
  • We are utilizing three man pods to low standings, no byes.
  • Cash and Product Prize Support: Entry fee is $20.
    • $500 cash to 1st place, sealed product equaling $500 to be split between 2nd - 4th place.
  • Proxy friendly, more information below.
  • Decklists must be submitted no later than 15mins before Round 1 begins. Failure to do so may incur a penalty.

  • Where: 1 Haben Blvd, Palmetto, FL 34221
  • When: November 16th, 2025. Doors open 9am, Check-in as soon as you arrive, Player Meeting at 9:45am, Round 1 starts promptly at 10am.
  • Prize policy: $500 cash to 1st place, sealed product equaling $500 to be split between 2nd - 4th place.

What rules/banlist are we using?

  • This event will use the most current REL Competitive rules (found here) and the Multiplayer Commander Banlist (found here).

What is the proxy policy for for this event?

  • This event will be Playtest cards and Printed Proxy friendly.
  • You may use as many "Playtest cards or Printed Proxies" as needed that are in color and utilize recognizable official Magic art (All art on Scryfall) as an alternative or MDFC placeholder cards that are clearly written on.
  • These cards must have non-Magic backs. Players must use dark sleeves or smoke inner sleeves to avoid marked cards.
  • MDFC cards require full text, mana cost, card type(s), and name.
  • If you choose to use MDFCs, you are limited to only 10 MDFC cards. Additionally, you will need a printout of the cards to reference on the side.
  • You may use Magic 30th Anniversary cards, Collector’s Edition cards, International Edition, and World Championship Deck cards.

Are alters allowed?

  • All alters must be approved before the start of the event by our head judge. The head judge will be available the day of the event to inspect alters for approval.

How many players & rounds? What's the prizing structure?

SCALING PRIZE SUPPORT $500 cash to 1st place, sealed product equaling $500 to be split between 2nd - 4th place. Swiss rounds at 70mins each w/ 15min timer on active player. Final table will be 90 minutes long with 20 minute extension on active player. If time expires in top cuts, player who had highest standing in Swiss rounds is crowned the winner.

  • 16-32 players: 4 rounds of Swiss, Top 4 cut

  • Due to time constraint of event location, we are unable to adhere to standard round structure for this tournament. We will begin promptly at 10am EST and we must conclude no later than 6pm EST.
