Participation promos? Yes! Everyone who signs up to participate in this event will be given a small gift made for this tournament by our organizer, your choice of one of two sweet bumper sticker designs to show off your cEDH swag.
Some important things of note:
Proxies WILL be allowed at this tournament. That being said; all proxies MUST be legible and not made or designed in a way to confuse or deceive your opponents. Paper proxies slipped into a card sleeve with a magic card behind them will be considered invalid due to the egregious difference in card-thickness and WILL NOT be allowed. If your deck contains proxies made in this way (yes even if your whole deck is proxy this way) and you are unable to find suitable replacements for the paper-proxy cards and adjust your decklist before the tournament begins then you will be ineligible to participate.
All proxy cards must contain the same identical text that is written on the magic card it is intended to be. [For example: Joe has a real Vedalken Orrery that states, " You may play nonland cards anytime you could play an instant." and Sara has a proxy Vedalken Orrery that's printed on 0.3mm cardstock with the same art that appears on Joe's card, however hers says, "You may cast nonland cards as though they had flash." -- Technically there are two valid text variations for this card depending upon print run, so Sara's proxy is considered valid because it is not made with any kind of alternation to the text that would normally appear on a Double Master's 2022 version vs. Joe's fifth dawn version.)
Our venue is a local game store itself, so issues such as damaged sleeves, or needing to make final edits to your list prior to the beginning of the tournament will be easy to remedy given the location. All players must abide by the code of conduct that is posted publicly in Tower of Games' play space, please take the time to review upon your arrival. We will have two comp REL Judges supervising and running this tournament the entire time who have the authority to issue warnings, and disqualifications for violations during game play. They will be conducting a player's meeting at exactly 1pm prior to the beginning of the tournament, so late arrival is not recommended.
If a player wishes to concede their round at this tournament they must notify one of our Judges before doing so. Reminder: conceding always happens at sorcery speed.
If a player wishes to drop from the tournament entirely they must do so in-between rounds before the next round of pods are assigned. They must also notify a Judge before their drop will be considered valid.
Important details for this tournament and how things will function logistically will be reviewed and covered by our Judges in the initial players meeting prior to the beginning of this tournament, so attendance will be required for that initial meeting.
