cEDH European Championship Qualifier organised by North East cEDH - a playtest-friendly event

Date and Time: Sunday 16th August 2026 - 9:30AM Store Opening - 9:45AM Registration - 10:00AM Start

Location: Gamers@Hart, Bovis House, Victoria Road, Hartlepool TS24 7SE

Entry: cost of entry is £20 - cash is the only available choice at this venue

Rules

We will be using the Juízes MTG Portugal Multiplayer Addendum along with the following amendments:

• Playtest cards allowed (full colour and recognisable art)
• 75 minute Swiss rounds (without turns)
• 3/4/5 rounds of Swiss with final top 7/10/13/16 cut (Swiss round structure and top cut dependent on player count)
• Please post decklist links on TopDeck after registration (required)
• Top 7/10/13/16 matches will be timed at 90 minutes - after which the standard end-of-match procedure will be followed
• Top 4 match will be timed at 120 minutes - after which the standard end-of-match procedure will be followed

These rules are subject to change before the event and any changes will be made clear during event announcements.

Prizing

Top 4 prizing will be store vouchers for LGS Gamers@Hart. Prizing will be announced at the start of round 3 - prizing will scale depending on player count. All entry fees - after a small donation to People’s Meeples CIC (£1 per person) for use of their game room, administrative costs (see below) and cost to provide prizing for top 7/10/13/16 - to be used as prizing for the top 4.

• 1st - 40% + cEDH European Championship ticket
• 2nd - 20%
• 3rd - 20%
• 4th - 20%

All timings are approximate as rounds may start earlier if all previous games are completed:

• 9:45 - Registration
• 10:00 - Round 1 Swiss
• 11:30 - Round 2 Swiss
• 13:00 Lunch
• 13:30 - Round 3 Swiss
• 15:00 - Round 4 Swiss / Top Cut
• 16:30 - Round 5 / Top Cut / Top 4
• 18:00- Top Cut / Top 4
• 19:45 Top 4

Administrative Costs

For full transparency, the following administrative costs will be taken from the overall prize pool as store credit for the hosting LGS to ensure they are still fully supported:

• TO - £17
• Head Judge - £1.50 per player

Venue Information

Gamers@Hart is located inside Bovis House. To find it, enter Bovis House through the automatic doors and turn left to find the staircase. Climb the stairs up to the first floor and turn right. We will be using the playspace People's Meeples, which is the first unit on the left - opposite Gamers@Hart. Alternatively, follow any of the brightly, multicoloured signs for Gamers@Hart.

Parking

Parking is available close to the venue - multiple Hartlepool Borough Council car parks are less than a minute walk away from the venue. Please check any parking restrictions that are in force. Please note - Hartlepool Borough Council car parks are no longer free on Sundays. Please check all signs to ensure you don't receive a parking ticket!

Public Transport

The nearest train station to the venue is Hartlepool Train Station, which is a 10 minute walk away from the venue.

The venue is located in the town centre so any bus to the town centre would be within walking distance of the venue.

Food and Drink

The venue allows outside food and drinks. Cold drinks and snacks (sweets and chocolate) are available to purchase at very reasonable prices.

The town centre is a short walk away for other shops and food establishments.
