April's 3k Cradle

April showers bring May flowers. Well this April shower is going to be nothing short as we are giving away a Gaea's Cradle, Cash prizing and custom play mats from our very own local artist! We are back at Lewis Game shop in Monticello for another amazing day of CEDH while handing out a ton of CASH! Doors will open at 11am for check-in and decklists will be required beforehand. Refunds will be available until 48hrs from the start of round 1. This event will be live streamed on Twitch @Northstarcedh. Entry will be $55 There will be 5 rounds of swiss.

Each round will be be 80 minutes in length.

After time in round is called active player will finish their turn and the game will end in a draw.

Wins are worth 5 points Draws are worth 1 point.

After swiss there will be a cut to top 16 based on points awarded during the swiss then a single elimination round will take place to determine top 4. (Top 16 cut always dependent on attendance).

This tournament will utilize the Competitive MTR/IPG Addendum created by Eminence and will be held to Comp REL standards.

This tournament will utilize Command Tower for the pairing software and determining turn order.

Byes that are awarded due to awkward pairings will be considered a win and worth 5 points. Prizing: 1st - Gaea's Cradle 2nd - 4th $450 each 5th - 16th $75 each 3k prizing will start at 66 players Proxies: Proxies must be indistinguishable from the other cards as parts of your library while sleeved. (Ideally you should not be able to tell by the sleeve openings or thickness which cards are proxies and which are not). There are 5 colors to the MTG color wheel plus colorless artifacts and lands as well as multi-colored cards. The Proxy prints you choose to use must reflect these differences in color. (IE no blue lightning bolts, or black and white multi-colored cards). All proxies must contain appropriate text, names, card types, mana cost, colors, power and toughness, loyalty, etc. It must be readily apparent what these proxies represent, so our boardstates are not misrepresented or lost to confusion. Proxies must be legible prints. Please no hand-written proxies in your decks. Everyone must be able to readily recognize the cards for what they represent and read the words on them.
