From The Vault: Legacy 15 $2k w/ Roland Chang

Event Information

Welcome everyone to From The Vault: Legacy 15, the 15th event in our ongoing monthly Legacy tournament series set to take place Saturday, September 7th at 12:00 PM! This tournament will feature a guaranteed $2,400 in prize support, plus additional prizing that scales with participation! We have had massive success with these tournaments, with average turnout consistently over 40 players, and for this one we're doing something very special: we are welcoming Roland Chang, Legacy player extraordinaire and founder of The Foil Bug, as our special guest!

Roland - who won the 2005 Vintage Championship and 2006 Legacy Championship - competes in Magic events around the world while showcasing his ever-growing collection of rare foils. Earlier this year, he founded The Foil Bug, an online company that promotes Magic content, sells merch and features top local game stores running Magic events. The Mana Vault is honored to be the latest shop to make the Foil Bug’s LGS Guide with his upcoming visit! If you want to play with someone who holds a deep love of Legacy and Magic: the Gathering in general, you won’t want to miss this event!

From the Vault: Legacy 15 - the first large paper Legacy event following the upcoming B&R announcement, will be held at The Mana Vault MKE, Milwaukee’s best LGS; located at 3807 S. Rules

This tournament has a 64 Player Cap.

DECKLISTS ARE REQUIRED

There will be 5-6 rounds of swiss, based on attendance.

After swiss there will be a cut to top 8 based on points awarded during the swiss then single elimination rounds to determine our winner.

Each round is best of 3.

Each round will be be 50 minutes in length.

If the round time limit is reached before a winner is determined, the player whose turn it is finishes their turn and five additional turns are played in total before the match results in a draw.

Wins are worth 3 points Draws are worth 1 point.

This tournament will be held to Comp REL standards.

This tournament will utilize Command Tower for the pairing software.

Byes that are awarded due to awkward pairings will be considered a win and worth 3 points!

Prizing

1st Place - $1000

2nd Place - $500

3/4th Place - $250

5-8th Place - $100
