What is The CircuiT?
The CircuiT is a free tournament circuit for Topdeck events hosted in Connecticut. It was created by local cEDH grinders as a way to get players to enter more events, and to help promote the amazing local game stores that make the CT cEDH scene thrive. We hope that by fostering competition with an emphasis on access and inclusion we can continue to help the CT cEDH scene grow.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my event eligible for The CircuiT? Any event held in the state of Connecticut and hosted on Topdeck.gg is eligible for entry.
How do I get my event added? If you are a store owner or tournament organizer and you have an event you would like to add to The CircuiT, just email the event link to the circuit organizer and it will be included. Events can also be added retroactively.
Is there a player threshold that must be met in order for an event to be worth points? Any cEDH event hosted by a CT tournament organizer or game store is eligible, as long as it has at least four players. 32+ players are needed for points to be given out for top 4, 64+ for top 16, and 100+ for points for top 32.
What types of events are eligible for points?
Any cEDH event in the state is eligible for players to recieve points for their wins. This encompasses standard Swiss structured events as well as other variations such as single elimination, Hareruya, or point threshold/wager based systems. Standard Swiss events are 5 points per win, 0 points per loss, and 1 point per draw, with a top cut, but other Swiss variations (such as 0 points per draw) are also allowed.
In order for players to recieve points based on placement (first place, top 4, top 16, top 32) the event must reach the minimum player threshold and have a top cut elimination round.
