July 9, 2025Community Dashboard - Understand Your Tournaments Like Never Before
Tournament organizers have always wondered: "Who are my players? How often do they return? What's my community growth looking like?" Today, we're introducing the Community Dashboard: a dedicated analytics hub that gives you unprecedented insight into your tournament community.
What Is the Community Dashboard?
The Community Dashboard is a comprehensive analytics tool designed specifically for tournament organizers who want to understand their player base better. It aggregates data from all your tournaments to provide a unified list of everyone who has participated in your events, complete with engagement metrics, growth analytics, and powerful filtering capabilities.
- Player List: Get a list of all players who have ever participated in one of your events. Filter by game and format too!
- Player Analytics: Track total players, active players, new player acquisition, and retention metrics across all your tournaments.
- Smart Filtering: Filter your community by event size, game, and format to understand engagement patterns across different tournament types.
- Export Capabilities: Download your community data as CSV for further analysis or integration with other tools.
The Community Dashboard is available now for all tournament organizers. Simply navigate to the new Community page in your tournament management dashboard to begin exploring your community data in seconds.
Comprehensive Community Statistics
The dashboard provides eight key metrics that give you a complete picture of your tournament community:
- Total Players: Your complete tournament community size: everyone who has ever participated in your events.
- Total Events: The number of unique tournaments you've hosted.
- Active Players: Players who participated in tournaments within the last 30 days.
- Average Events per Player: Understanding player engagement levels across your community.
- New Players: First-time participants in the last 30 days.
- Repeat Players: Community members who have participated in multiple events.
- One-Time Players: Players who attended exactly one tournament (potential retention opportunities).
- Growth Rate: Month-over-month comparison of new player acquisition.
Player Table with Actionable Insights
The community member table provides detailed information about each player:
- Player name and email for direct communication
- Event participation count with color-coded badges
- Last tournament participation with quick access links
- Participation dates with visual indicators for recent activity
Advanced Filtering System
Understanding your community means being able to segment it effectively. Our filtering system allows for:
Event Size Filtering: Use flexible text input to filter by tournament size:
- Exact numbers (e.g., "8" for 8-player events)
- Ranges (e.g., "10-20" for medium-sized events)
- Comparisons (e.g., "15+" for larger events, "<30" for smaller ones)
Game and Format Filtering: Filter by specific games and formats from your actual tournament data.
Use Cases
- Community Outreach: Export player data to create targeted communications about upcoming events and other opportunities.
- Weekly Tournament Series: Track how your regular events are building a consistent community and identify your most engaged players.
- Format Analysis: Compare community engagement across different games and formats to optimize your tournament schedule.
- Growth Planning: Use growth rate data to understand seasonal patterns and plan expansion strategies.
- Player Retention: Identify one-time players and develop strategies to encourage return participation.
Privacy and Data Security
Data respects existing privacy settings: only registered participants are shown, email addresses stay with organizers, and no third-party sharing.
Future Enhancements
We're already working on additional features for the Community Dashboard:
- Integration with marketing tools for targeted outreach campaigns
- Engagement trends over time with detailed charts
- Player lifecycle analysis showing progression from new to regular participants
The Community Dashboard represents our commitment to giving tournament organizers the tools they need to build thriving, engaged communities. We're excited to see how this data helps you better understand and serve your players. If you have questions, concerns, or ideas, please reach out to us in our Discord!
