Today we're launching Autopilot for tournament organizers. Turn it on in Configuration, start round 1 the way you always do, and the event takes it from there. When every table has a result, Autopilot ends the round, pairs and publishes the next one, cuts to your top cut, runs the bracket, and ends the event after the final.
It's built for the events nobody should have to babysit: on-demand events at conventions, online events, and the weeknight event you're running while also working the counter. Results can come from players reporting their own matches or from your staff. Either way, Autopilot keeps the event moving once the last one is in.
Time to find tables
After Autopilot publishes pairings, it waits for the round start delay (3 minutes unless you change it) before starting the clock, so players have time to find their tables. The bar above your rounds shows the countdown, with Start now to skip it.
You stay in charge
You can still run any part of the event by hand. End a round, fix pairings, or press Pause, and Autopilot picks up when you're done. If something needs a person, like a bracket match reported as a draw, it stops and tells you which table.
Let check-in start round 1
Turn on Start round 1 when self check-in ends in Configuration and Autopilot starts the event for you too. Set when check-in closes in Check-in settings. When it closes, Autopilot drops anyone who didn't check in, pairs round 1, and starts the clock after the round start delay. Players see that countdown on the bracket page and in the app.
If your event requires players to confirm results, a result the opponent never confirms or disputes counts after 5 minutes, so a player who disappears can't hold up the round. Change it with Confirm timeout. A disputed result still waits for you.
Set it up
In Configuration, turn on Run rounds automatically. Leave Swiss rounds on Auto to size the event from the players in round 1, following the Magic Tournament Rules, or set your own number. Pick a Top cut, or None to end after the Swiss rounds. To run a single elimination event, start round 1 from Bracket → All players and Autopilot runs the bracket to the final.
Autopilot works with Swiss and single elimination events, for 1v1 and pods. The full guide is in the Help Center.
