CEDH WINTER LEAGUE 2026

cEDH Italy is proud to present the Winter League 2026 at Warmaster Store in Ciampino (Rome). This is a structured, competitive, multi-week league designed for players who want to test their decks in a consistent tournament environment, track long-term performance, and compete on a shared leaderboard. The League will run across eight Thursday evenings, from January 8 to February 26, 2026, with 16 total Swiss rounds and a final playoff.

DATES AND STRUCTURE

January 8, 15, 22, 29 — February 5, 12, 19, 26. The store opens at 20:00, registration begins at 21:30, and rounds start at 22:00. Each of the first seven nights will feature 2 Swiss rounds, for a total of 14 Swiss rounds across the League. On February 26, the last night, the Top 4 playoff will determine the final standings and leaderboard prizes. On the same night, all other tables will compete for a special high-value card. For the League standings, each player’s best four results will count toward the final leaderboard.

RULES

The entry fee is €5 per night, payable at the store. New players may join the League at any point during the season, and the first night is free. The League follows European cEDH rules as published at https://juizes-mtg-portugal.github.io/ Each round lasts 75 minutes. When time is called, players finish the current turn, followed by 15 additional minutes to complete the ongoing turn. During this extra time, no new turns are generated unless created by spell or ability effects. If no winner is determined after this phase, the match is recorded as a draw. Intentional draws and game restarts are allowed within regulation time, subject to Tournament Organizer approval. Match points are awarded as follows: 7 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss.

PROXIES AND NEW RELEASE POLICY

The League is fully proxy friendly. Any number of proxies is allowed, provided they use recognizable Magic artwork and are clearly distinguishable from real cards. For the months of January and February, proxy legality is extended to include cards from the upcoming expansion. From January 8 until the prerelease of Lorwyn Eclipsed on January 16, 2026, all cards from Lorwyn Eclipsed are legal as proxies, even if not yet released. Starting the day after the Lorwyn prerelease, proxy legality will shift to Universes Beyond: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which will remain legal as proxies until its own prerelease. The previewed cards will be legal only if they are officially listed on Scryfall. Decklists are required via TopDeck, submitted using a Moxfield link at least 30 minutes before the event. Players may switch decks between rounds, provided all decks are included in the same Moxfield link, in the description. Trial decks are available on request.

PRIZING

The total prize pool will be split 60/40, with 60% dedicated to nightly prizes and 40% to the final standings. Each night, the winner of the first round at each table receives a prize (staple card, store credit, or booster, including Collector Boosters). If a round ends in a draw, the winner of the prize is determined at random among the players at the table.

The final standings pool will be awarded to the Top 4 players after the playoff on February 26, divided as follows:

1st place: 31%

2nd place: 23%

3rd place: 23%

4th place: 23%

On February 26, all non-Top 4 tables will compete for a special high-value card, awarded through gameplay on the night.
