Players will play in pods of 3-4 players for a number of Swiss rounds based on attendance.
Rounds will be 80 minutes long. Once time is called the active player will complete their turn and if there is no winner the match will be considered a draw.
Players will be awarded 5 points for a win and 1 point for a draw.
After Swiss rounds there will be a cut to top 10 single elimination. There will be no time limit on the top pod games.
Up to 10 playtest cards will be allowed in a deck. Please see below for the extremely specific guidelines for playtest cards.
Prizing
For up to 29 players store credit will be paid out to top four players as 40% to winner and 20% to each other top four participant.
For 30+ players first place will receive a The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale (LP).
For 40+ players second, third and fourth place will receive a Revised Dual Land (chosen from those available in Swiss ranking order).
Door Prizes
Each round we will be giving away door prizes including TCG supplies and promos.
For 25+ players we will add a Avatar the Last Airbender Bundle to the door prizes.
For 35+ players we will add a Chocobo Bundle to the door prizes.
For 45+ players we will add a Borderless Chrome Mox (SPG)
For 50+ players we will add in a Lion's Eye Diamond.
Playtest Card Guidelines
Up to 10 playtest cards may be used in a deck.
A playtest card must be a real Helper Card or a light colored basic land (for example, a revised basic land). The name of the card and the text must be clearly written on the card so as to not be mistaken for another card.
Players must have a printed copy of the card with them to show other players (multiple pictures of cards may be printed on the same sheet)
Other allowable playtest cards include those from Magic 30th Edition, Collector's Edition, and International Edition.
No other playtest cards will be allowed outside of these guidelines. You will not be allowed to slip printed pieces of paper in front of a magic card.
