Welcome to the Weston Invitational – Massachusetts cEDH's Most Prestigious* Event *Self-proclaimed.
The Massachusetts cEDH community has argued long enough about who is the biggest chud. It's time to settle it the only way we know how: by shuffling up, presenting decks worth more than our first cars, and forgetting our Rhystic Study triggers. Whether you're from Boston, Worcester, the North Shore, the South Shore, or "basically New Hampshire," all are welcome.
Entry Fee: $20 (Includes tournament entry and a cookout.)
Tournament Structure: (Probably) 4 Multiplayer Swiss rounds Cut to top 4 80 minute rounds with a 20 minute overtime Official Commander ban list
Prizing: I will figure it out on the day of ($10 will go to prizing from every entry) Proxy friendly
Proxy Policy:
Bring your real cards. Bring your proxies. Bring your anime alters. As long as your opponents can tell what the card is before they attempt to counter it, you're good.
The Cookout:
Your $20 entry includes a cookout with Brisket, Chicken, snacks, and drinks. BYOB and anything else that want to contribute (Im looking at you, veggie fucks). Finally, a tournament where the food costs less than a single fetch land.
Community Rules:
Respect your opponents. Clearly communicate game actions. Don't angle shoot (too hard). If you cast Ad Nauseam, you're responsible for doing your own math. If you say, "This hand is a little greedy," everyone already knows you're keeping it.
Prize Support:
Prize support scales with attendance and will be announced before Round 1 ($10 from entry will go to prize support). The true prize is earning the right to tell everyone that you are the biggest chud in Massachusetts.
