About this event

  1. Rules & Deck Construction Pauper Commander (PDH) is a competitive multiplayer format for Magic: The Gathering. All decks must comply with standard construction rules prior to tournament verification: • The Commander: Exactly one (1) uncommon creature printed at uncommon rarity in any paper or digital set. Legendary status is not required. Backgrounds and Partner pairings are legal if both cards are uncommon. • The Deck: Exactly ninety-nine (99) cards in the main deck. Every card must have been printed at common rarity at least once in a physical paper or MTGO set. • Decklist Submission: All players must submit a verified decklist via the designated tournament platform prior to the start of Round 1. No modifications are permitted mid-tournament.
  2. Tournament & Match Structure • Pod Composition: Matches are played in multiplayer pods of 4 players whenever possible. 3-player pods may be utilized to handle player counts not divisible by 4. • Round Structure: Swiss rounds based on attendance, followed by a cut to a Top 4 final table. • Time Limit: Each round is 80 minutes. If a round ends before a winner is determined, active active turns finish, and the pod is resolved via standard tiebreakers or points. • Format Parameters: Players start with 30 Life. Elimination via Commander Damage occurs at 16 combat damage from a single individual commander.
  3. Official Tournament Ban List The following cards are strictly banned from tournament play. They cannot be used as a commander or within the 99-card deck: Card Name Reasoning / Scope Mystic Remora Extreme, un-interactive card advantage in multiplayer settings. Rhystic Study Distorts standard play patterns and resource management. Sticky Fingers Banned specifically as a Commander due to aggressive combo scaling.
  4. Tournament Scoring Matrix Tournament standing points are awarded at the end of each round based on pod placement and performance metrics: Result / Placement Points Awarded Match Win (Sole Survivor) 4 Points Draw / Unfinished Match 1 Point (to all remaining alive in pod) Loss / Elimination 0 Po
