Life Total Tracking

Players must have a reliable method to track life totals.

Recommended:

Paper and pen (preferred)

Boogie board

Paper spindowns

Plastic life counters

Dice are not allowed, as they can easily be knocked over.

A tracking method that records life total history is very helpful for resolving disputes but is not required.

If a player uses their phone as a life counter, it must track all players at the table to prevent concerns about cheating.

Competitive Play Expectations

Competitive events are held to a higher standard of play than FNM or casual games.

Players should:

Communicate clearly about all actions

Ensure all players understand what is happening

Maintain awareness of priority order at all times

Whenever you shuffle your deck (or part of it):

Shuffle thoroughly

Present the deck to your opponents for them to cut or tap

Judges

If something goes wrong during a match:

Raise your hand

Call “Judge!”

A judge will come to assist you.

Keep your hand raised so the judge can easily locate you.

If you do not want to ask a question in front of your opponent, you may request to step away from the table.

If you make a mistake, call a judge immediately. It is completely acceptable to call a judge for your own mistake.

Warnings and Penalties

If a judge issues a Warning, it means an infraction has occurred and must be tracked.

A single Warning does not directly affect your tournament, but repeated Warnings may escalate to:

Turn skips

Game losses

Removal from the event

Code of Conduct

The Gamer's Haven maintains a Code of Conduct posted on its website.

Violations may result in:

Game losses

Removal from the event
