Welcome to the first Small Town Takedown!
The event will be held at 105 Basin St. Basin, MT. Lunch will be provided at noon. With lunch being provided, please notify us if there are any allergies and if we need to accommodate for that.
We are proxy friendly, however proxies must be in official Magic the Gathering art and full color.
80 minute rounds - 5 rounds of Swiss, followed by cut to top 16. Top 16 will have a timer, albeit a relaxed time. If less than 32 players, there will only be 4 rounds of Swiss.
We will not be using standard bracket scoring. We will be using Point Wager. Each player starts with 1000 points and wagers 7%. Draws are discouraged by the All or Nothing function. If a pod draws, all wagered points are lost. Pairings are completely random and you may be paired with someone who has far fewer points in the Swiss rounds.
Prizing will still vary with player count.
Any number of players: 1st Place 4e Mana Vault, 2nd place Etali primal Conqueror, 3rd and 4th Secrets of Strixhaven play booster packs
16 players: 1-4 place their choice of Chrome Mox, Mana vault, the one ring, and demonic tutor
32 players: 1st place badlands. Dual land prizing may be delayed, but we will try to have same day prizing. 2nd-4th chrome mox, mana vault, the one ring
60 players: 1-4 high value store credit at game store of their choosing
9:00am - Player meeting
Directly following player meeting, pods are formed and games begin
12:00 noon - Cards up! Lunch time. We dont want to damage your cards so please make sure that they are safely stored when we move to lunch
1:00pm - games resume
Roughly 5:00pm - cut to top 16
