About this event

Rule Zero : cEDH

What if the ban list wasn't set in stone?

Rule Zero : cEDH returns to Titan Game & Hobby!

The experiment continues. One card has left the format, and a new monster has taken its place.

For this event, the following banned cards are LEGAL:

  • Mana Crypt

  • Primeval Titan

  • Jeweled Lotus

  • Dockside Extortionist

  • Griselbrand

Golos, Tireless Pilgrim is out. Griselbrand is in.

Think you know cEDH? Let's see what happens when the rules change. Event Details • $5 Entry • Three 80-minute rounds • TopDeck software will be used • Proxy Friendly • 100% Cash Payout to the Top 3 or 4 based on attendance

The Format Evolves

Rule Zero isn't meant to have a permanent ban list.

The players are building it.

The winner of this tournament will once again earn the opportunity to permanently change the format for the

next Rule Zero : cEDH event.

After claiming victory, the champion must:

• Remove either Primeval Titan or Griselbrand from the Rule Zero legal list.

• Replace it with another banned Commander card of their choice.

The only exceptions are: • Cards banned during the June 2020 update due to potentially racially insensitive artwork. • Ante cards. • Conspiracy cards. • Shahrazad.

Every Rule Zero tournament changes the one that follows it.

Different cards become legal. New strategies become possible. Decks adapt. And each champion gets to leave their mark on the format.

Maybe Griselbrand completely changes Reanimator.

Maybe Primeval Titan finally gets its chance to prove it belongs in modern Commander.

Maybe Mana Crypt, Jeweled Lotus, and Dockside Extortionist remind everyone exactly why they're banned. There's only one way to find out.

Rule Zero : cEDH is about taking competitive Commander, changing one fundamental assumption, and seeing what the players can do with it.

Bring your strongest deck. Bring your strangest brew. Bring the cards Commander told you that you couldn't play. And if you win? You decide what happens next.

Rule Zero : cEDH

The ban list belongs to the champion.
