A new Mega Evolution adventure is about to begin, and this time, your trusted tournament deck cannot save you. Every Trainer will receive a Mega Evolution: Pitch Black Build & Battle Box, discover the Pokémon hidden inside, and construct a deck using only the cards found within.
No prepared strategies. No carefully crafted deck lists. Just quick thinking, clever deck building, and the courage to battle through the shadows.
Whether this is your very first Build & Battle or you’re an experienced Trainer, everyone begins this challenge on equal footing.
What is Build & Battle?
Build & Battle is a special Pokémon TCG event where Trainers do not bring a pre-built deck.
Instead, every player receives a Mega Evolution: Pitch Black Build & Battle Box and builds a brand-new deck using only the contents of that box.
Each Build & Battle Box contains:
• 1 ready-to-play 40-card Evolution Pack featuring 1 of 4 exclusive promo cards • 4 Mega Evolution: Pitch Black booster packs • 1 deck-building tip sheet
Basic Energy cards will be provided by Wadi TCG.
Entry Fee: 165 SAR Your entry includes: • 1 Mega Evolution: Pitch Black Build & Battle Box • Entry into the official Build & Battle tournament • Basic Energy cards for deck construction • Eligibility for prize support
Event Schedule 7:00 PM - Check-in Open 7:30 PM - Product Distribution & Deck Construction Begins
Players will have 30 minutes to build a 40-card deck. Round 1 will begin immediately after deck construction. Please arrive by 7:00 PM. Build & Battle Boxes and booster packs must remain sealed until instructed by the Judge.
Deck Building Rules Your deck must contain exactly 40 cards. You may use only: • Cards from your Build & Battle Evolution Pack • Cards opened from your four booster packs • Basic Energy provided by Wadi TCG
Special Build & Battle Rule The normal limit of four copies of a card does NOT apply during Build & Battle events. If you open more than four copies of the same card, you may play all of them in your deck.
Tournament Format • Swiss Tournament • Best-of-1 Matches • 30-minute rounds • 4 Prize Cards per game • Official Pokémon TCG Tournament Rules apply
The number of rounds will depend on the total number of Trainers participating.
Between Rounds: Between rounds, you may modify your deck using only the cards you opened from your own Build & Battle Box. Cards from outside your Build & Battle pool may never be added.
What Trainers CAN Do ✅ Modify their deck between rounds using cards from their own Build & Battle Box ✅ Use more than four copies of the same card if opened ✅ Use Basic Energy provided by Wadi TCG ✅ Use their own sleeves, playmat, dice and damage counters ✅ Ask the Judge for assistance at any time ✅ Keep every card they open after the event
What Trainers CANNOT Do ❌ Use cards from outside the Build & Battle event ❌ Borrow cards from another player ❌ Trade cards during the tournament ❌ Open their Build & Battle Box before instructed ❌ Receive outside deck-building assistance once deck construction has started ❌ Use marked or distinguishable sleeves

• Please arrive 15-30 minutes early to complete check-in. • If you anticipate being late, please contact Prof. Vas before the event begins. • You must bring 40 identical sleeves (solid colour or official Pokémon sleeves). • It is also highly recommended to bring:
