THE SHORT

Sign up any time. It's free to play, paid to be eligible for prizing. 3 games is the cutoff to pay and qualify. If you don't want to pay, that's completely fine, your games will still be recorded and you can enjoy the league without any financial commitment.

Minimum 6 Games. Consider this before paying.

Concealed Points Wager System. Standings to be revealed on Thursdays. (Even though Bill gamed it)

Games at Urban Saturdays and GG Sundays will count towards your league games if everyone in the pod is a league member. GG Wednesdays are up to the players.

Prizing will be cash payout weighted to the winner of a finals game, or split amongst top 4 if they decide to.

Additional prizing TBD and is potentially winnable by free players. eg. Wooden Spoon, lol.

Minimum games will have to be played for any eligibility at all, however.

THE LONG

If you played in Season 0, a lot is the same, a little is different. If any clarification is needed, flick through an email or hit the group chat. the rest will be spelled out below.

Game Rules

Round Time: 55 minutes + Turns/30 minutes.

Online games will end in a draw at pass of turn regardless of whose turn it is after 30 minutes or if a win cannot be presented and proven to be able to be converted at the 90 minute mark. In person games are at the discretion of the establishment you're playing in.

Understandably GGs has a truncated OT, there's not much that can be done about that. Run turbo?

We obviously don't have a 24/7 judge or Tournament REL going on. Make an effort to keep everyone honest, we all know each other, cheating won't pay off.

League Rules

Games

Games can be played at Urban Saturdays, GG Sundays and Online in the discord server. You're very welcome to play league games at GG Wednesdays but it may be important to some players to have a night without the league factoring in.

Online games will require a screenshot from Convoke to certify the game happened honestly and is recorded with the legitimate results.

Eligibility

This time around players will be required to play a minimum of 6 games in order to qualify for prizing. This is an important consideration if you are joining later in the season, if you don't think you'll play six games we don't want you to waste your money.

Only paid members will be eligible for prizing. 3 game limit before you're required to pay to be eligible. Once you've played a 4th game without paying you'll have to wait until the following season to be part of prizing. This does not stop you being part of the league and standings, however. And you do qualify for some prizing. Like wooden spoon and most games played to a top X finisher.

Points Decay

Beginning on the 3rd Saturday of the league decay will be turned on. This is a measure to prevent point hoarding and encourage active play, particularly in the back half of the season

The conditions for being penalized are as follows:

• Have a score above 1000 points
• Not have played a game in more than 8 days

The decay penalty is 6% of your points per day. Which over the course of a week (for argument's sake) is approximately the equivalent of losing 3.75 games. It is necessary for it to be a deterrent for point hoarding.

Decay can be interrupted at any time by logging a game. And you will never dip below 1000 points. Anyone at or under 1000 points will not decay.

The initial settings were far too harsh at 10% per day after 7 days. If we need to tune the penalty we've chosen we will. But you are at least 75% more likely to to just not experience decay whatsoever.

Scoring and Standings

We're once again using the points wager system. However, we're going to be hiding the standings. players will learn once a week on Wednesdays what the standings are. Points won't be shown but your own points are always visible to you.

We'll all start at 1000 points, 8% is wagered per game, draws will redistribute the points evenly to each player in the pod.

Prizing

Cash weighted payout to the winner of a top 4 game. Top 4 are welcome to split.

The cash will be kept in a PayPal, screenshots will be provided each week of the transaction history to ensure transparency.
