THE SHORT

This event is a pilot for a new series of events to be introduced in 2027 as an effort to expand the cEDH community in the Hunter. Structure will be as follows:

• $25 Entry for this event.
• Minimum 16 Players. Max 24 Players
• Cash Prize pool scaled to amount of players. (see below for breakdown)
• 3 Swiss Rounds @ 80 Minutes + 30 Minute overtime including turns.
• Cut to Top 4. Players are welcome to split the pot
• 100% Playtest Friendly. So long as your playtest cards are easily identifiable and legible.
• Deck lists required

THE LONG

As stated above, the NcL is eager to grow the cEDH community throughout the Hunter. This is achieved in part by the league competition itself (which you are very welcome to join), as well as this new Tournament-lite venture.

For this month, and next, we will be enthusiastically taking suggestions and fielding questions in the greater effort to provide players with an ownership of the cEDH scene in the Hunter. New players or old, we want you to have a hand in shaping the landscape.

Here's how we intend to run things at the moment:

This event and December's event will both cost $25 for entry.

In January Mana in the Bank! Season One will begin. This will consist of four events. Jan, Feb and Mar will be preliminary events leading up to April's first God Emperor Championship.

This is where the breakdown of your money is important:

$30 Entry/pp

$7.50 to Tactica

$17.50 into the event's pot

$5 into a running pot.

The running pot of the first three events will be played for in the God Emperor Championship at the end of each season. Players will receive a $5 discount on the God Emperor event for each preliminary event they attended. Otherwise entry is $45 to make it even with previous players.

Other prizing:

1st place will earn free entry into the God Emperor Championship.

We're going to try out awarding the runners-up of each prelim a "First Seat Credit" that can only be cashed in at the next preliminary event. The credits will work like this:

2nd - Round 1 First Seat Credit

3rd - Round 2 First Seat Credit

4th - Round 3 First Seat Credit

A player cannot win the same credit more than one time consecutively. If players are ineligible for a credit, they will be shifted down the ladder to the next eligible players. They are also not redeemable at God Emperor Championship events, only preliminary.

ANYWAY

November and December are the community's opportunity to have their say, iron out kinks and tailor 2027 to be exactly what they want.

We want to eventually offer more additional prizing such as playmats and cards. But we will scale at a speed that is manageable. Focusing on providing a fun and enjoyable event is priority #1.
