DECORUM

• Please limit leaving the table during gameplay to an absolute minumum.
  • If you are taking a smoke break please wait for between pods.
  • SMOKING MUST EITHER BE DONE IN YOUR CAR OR ON THE ROAD SIDE OF THE PARKING LOT.
• Conceding early should be reserved for emergencies.
• If you are late to your pod after the round timer begins you will recieve a game loss after 10 minutes.
• This is a game store with a variety of ages of clientelle. Please be respectful of other customers in the store
  • (i.e. volume, profanity, attitude, and the usual "dont be a d***")

PRIZE SUPPORT

• All $10 of the buy-in will go directly towards the store credit prize support. The majority will be given to first place and the rest will be split evenly amongst the other 3 players in the final pod.

PROXY POLICY

• This event is FULLY Proxy Friendly!

• PLEASE MAKE PROXIES CARD ART RECOGNIZABLE

• This means i should be able look across the table and generally be able to recognize the card. Printer paper on top of magic cards is fine. Sticky notes or basic mountains with "Tundra" written on them in sharpie is NOT fine.

• If you aren't sure about your proxy ask Forrest.

EVENT FORMAT

• This will be a 3-4 round Swiss event before a cut to either the top 4, or top 10 depending on attendance.

• In the event of a cut to top 10, the two top seeded players will receive a by while the remaining players play in elimination pods to play in the final pod.

EVENT SCORING

• Players score points based on their pod results:
  • Win = 5pts
  • Draw = 1pt
  • Loss = 0pts
• If a player offers a draw, the vote to draw MUST BE UNANIMOUS.

JUDGING

• The store owner, Forrest (thats me!) will be judging the event.
• While I am not an offical MTG Judge I have been playing magic for over 20 years and have run many many tournaments in my time. I am fairly comfortable making most rulings and infractions.

Surprise Surprise, I like to play magic too. I will be playing in the event, but only to make pods "cleaner" as far as pairings go.

• I will be playing to win, If I make it into the top cut towards final pods I will cede my seat to whoever would next be eligible.
• The pod I am playing in will also recieve extensions if I have to get up and be a business owner for a couple minutes.
• If a judge call happens in the pod that I am playing in, I will say what I think should happen, but there is usually someone else also in the store with game knowledge to draw upon that I will call over to be an impartial arbiter.
