Proxies

The Mana Vaults Proxy Policy for ticketed events: We are a Proxy friendly location for cEDH, and Legacy events due to the somewhat steep cost to deck build in these formats. However, not all proxies are created equal- therefore we at The Mana Vault have taken into consideration our own preferences as well as the desires of patrons on this topic. It should be noted that we at The Mana Vault will not be allowing proxies for WOTC Sanctioned Events. We encourage everyone to own Tournament Legal copies of their cards, as this supports Local Game Stores and the economy of the games we all enjoy and love. Our current Proxy Policy is outlined below, and subject to change down the road as we see fit. Thanks for reading!

  1. Proxies must be indistinguishable from the other cards as parts of your library while sleeved. (Ideally you should not be able to tell by the sleeve openings or thickness which cards are proxies and which are not).

  2. There are 5 colors to the MTG color wheel plus colorless artifacts and lands as well as multi-colored cards. The Proxy prints you choose to use must reflect these differences in color. (IE no blue lightning bolts, or black and white multi-colored cards).

  3. All proxies must contain appropriate text, names, card types, mana cost, colors, power and toughness, loyalty, etc. It must be readily apparent what these proxies represent, so our boardstates are not misrepresented or lost to confusion.

  4. Proxies must be legible prints. Please no hand-written proxies in your decks. Everyone must be able to readily recognize the cards for what they represent and read the words on them. Questions, suggestions or concerns- feel free to reach out!
