Monthly cEDH tournament organised by Tees Valley MTG - a playtest-friendly event

Rules

We will be using the cEDH UK addendum for Tournament Rules and Infraction Procedures along with the following rules.

• Playtest cards allowed (full colour and recognisable art)
• 80 minute rounds (without turns)
• 4 rounds of Swiss with final top 4 cut (in the event of a low player count, this may change to 3 rounds of Swiss with final top 4 cut)
• Please post decklist links on TopDeck before the start of the event (required)
• If the number of players is not a multiple of 4, pods of 3 will be required or byes given - this will be subject to player count

These rules are subject to change before the event and any changes will be made clear during event announcements.

Prizing

Top 4 prizing will be store vouchers for hosting LGS Geek Retreat Hartlepool. Prizing will be announced at the start of the tournament - prizing will scale depending on player count. All entry fees, after the cost to provide participation raffle prizes for those not reaching the top 4, to be used as prizing.

• 11:00 - Round 1 Swiss
• 12:30 - Lunch
• 13:00 - Round 2 Swiss
• 14:30 - Round 3 Swiss
• 16:00 - Round 4 Swiss / Top 4
• 17:30 - Top 4

Venue Information

Parking

Free parking is available very close to this venue - all Hartlepool Borough Council car parks are free on Sundays. However, please check any parking restrictions that may be in force.

Public Transport

The nearest train station to the venue is Hartlepool Train Station, which is a 10 minute walk away from the venue.

Hartlepool - the venue is located in the town centre so any bus to the town centre would be within walking distance of the venue.

Darlington - there are no direct buses from Darlington.

Stockton - bus number 36 is a 2 minute walk away from the venue.

Middlesbrough - bus numbers 1 and 36 are a 2 minute walk away from the venue. Alternatively, trains run between Middlesbrough and Hartlepool.

Food and Drink

The venue does not allow outside food and drinks. Hot food, drinks and snacks are available from Geek Retreat.

The town centre is a short walk away for other shops and food establishments.
