🌋 BATTLE FOR MIDDLE EARTH 🌋

The armies of Middle-earth have gathered.

The Fellowship stands against Mordor.

Rohan rides to war.

The Elves defend their realms.

The Dwarves return to Erebor.

And The One Ring tempts everyone.

This is a Bracket 3 Commander tournament where every deck must be built around The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.

COMMANDER REQUIREMENT

Your commander MUST be a Legendary Creature from one of the following:

• The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth (LTR)
• The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Commander (LTC)
• The Hobbit (HOB)

DECK FLAVOR

Your deck should represent a faction, character, location, army, or story from Middle-Earth.

Examples:

• 🧙 Wizards: Gandalf, Tom Bombadil, Radagast, spells, legendary creatures and the Fellowship.
• 🧝 Elves: Galadriel, Elrond, Legolas and the Elven realms.
• 🧔 Dwarves: Gimli, Erebor, Thorin, Balin, artifacts and Treasure.
• 🧒 Hobbits: Frodo, Bilbo, Sam, Merry, Pippin and the Shire.
• ⚔️ Rohan: Éowyn, Éomer, Théoden and Human/Rohan tribal strategies.
• 👁️ Mordor: Sauron, Orcs, Amass Orcs, Nazgûl and Ring temptation.
• 🕷️ Shelob: Spiders, graveyard strategies and creatures being consumed.
• 💍 The Ring: Ring-bearer mechanics, legendary creatures and The One Ring.
• 👺Goblins: The Great Goblin, Azog, Bolg, and all things Goblin!

A deck should feel like a Middle-earth deck, rather than a normal Commander deck

COMMANDER BRACKET

This event uses:

Bracket 3 — Upgraded

Players should bring decks that are powerful, synergistic Commander decks without crossing into the fastest competitive strategies.

Players are expected to follow the current Commander Bracket 3 guidelines.

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT

Registration must be done through topdeck.gg

Prepayment is not required to register for this event. Entry fee payment ($15) required before start time of event, in-person (same day of event is fine). We are only accepting payment in-person at this time.

RULESET

Deck cost limit of $500 using TCGPlayer Market Price (Lowest Cost Printing)

No Proxies Allowed!

Decklists must be submitted to topdeck.gg

Current banlist will be adhered to and followed!

80 + 15 Minute Rounds

After time is called, active player will have 15 minutes to finish their turn. If no winner has been determined, the round will be considered a draw.

The number of rounds will be determined by the number of players.

PRIZES

Points:

Pod Win: 4 Points

Pod Loss: 0 Points

Pod Draw: 1 Point to each player

Prizes: Prizes will be awarded based on overall placement in the event. Players will receive one booster pack for each point they received during the event.
