Event Information

We are thrilled to announce the CEDH ITALY LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER for the CEDH EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP In this tournament Everyone in the Top 4 will earn a priority ticket to the CEDH EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP, which will take place in Munich in November 2025. The event will be a 64-player cEDH tournament and will feature artists and vendors, including Nerd Paradise, and Boomer Tokns. Beverages and meals will be available for purchase on-site, and we also have a special menu deal.

Rules

Registration: All players must register through TopDeck. The pre-registration fee is €35, payable via PayPal (friends & family) to [email protected] within 24 hours from signup. Please include your TopDeck username in the payment comment. After this deadline, the registration fee will be €45, payable only via PayPal.

REL: The tournament will follow MTG Competitive REL, and certified judges will be present. It will also adhere to the European cEDH guidelines, which can be consulted online (see https://juizes-mtg-portugal.github.io/).

Structure: The tournament will consist of** 5 Swiss** rounds, followed by either a Top 16 or a Top 10 cut, depending on the total number of players. Players will earn** 5 points** per win. If time runs out with no winner, the match will immediately end, and each player will receive 1 point, including eliminated players. If the cut is to Top 10, the first two players in the Swiss will automatically advance to the Final, while the remaining eight players will compete in semifinals to determine the last two finalists.

Swiss Rounds Each round will last 80 minutes, after which the end-of-round procedure will automatically begin: players will complete the current turn within a hard limit of 20 additional minutes, after which, if no winner has emerged, the match will immediately end in a draw. At any time during the round – within the 80 regular minutes or during the 20 additional minutes – players may agree to an Intentional Draw. This must be unanimously agreed upon by all players at the table, including those who have already been eliminated. Within the 80-minute time window, players still in the game may also agree to a Game Restart, a special form of Intentional Draw. In that case, a new game begins with all original players (including those eliminated) in their original positions and turn order. The round timer does not reset: the restarted game must be completed within the original time. Only players still in the game may request a Game Restart; eliminated players do not have a say, although they will participate in the restarted game. You must call a judge to get approval for a Game Restart. If an Intentional Draw is agreed upon during the 20 additional minutes, a Game Restart is not allowed.

Elimination Phase (Top 16/Top10 and Top 4) All matches in the elimination phase must end with a winner. Intentional Draws are not allowed. However, if all players still in the game agree, a Game Restart may be performed with judge approval. While there is no fixed time limit for matches, once a Game Restart is performed, a 150-minute reference window is activated, counting from the beginning of the round (not from the Game Restart). If, after 150 minutes, there are still matches ongoing that have not performed a Game Restart, those may continue playing. However, if all other tables have either finished or performed a Game Restart, the remaining matches will enter the end-of-round procedure: the current turn is completed with no additional time, and if there is still no winner, the player with the highest Swiss score wins the match. The Final follows the same rules as the elimination phase: no time limit, Game Restart only with judge approval, 150-minute reference window, and end-of-round resolution if necessary.

Proxies & Decklists: Each deck may include proxies for all Reserved List cards, plus 25 additional proxies for non-Reserved List cards. Proxies must have recognizable Magic: The Gathering artwork and be distinguishable from real cards, such as having a different back. They must be double-sleeved, and paper printouts will not be allowed. Decklists are mandatory and must be submitted on TopDeck via a Moxfield link before the check in starts at 9.30.
