Hanover cEDH – April 11th FourCorners Comics & Games – Hanover 32 Frederick St, Hanover, PA Registration: 12PM Event Start: 1PM Entry: $25 FORMAT & STRUCTURE • Competitive Commander (cEDH) • 3–4 Swiss rounds depending on attendance • Cut to Top 10 – Top 2 advance directly to the Final Pod – Remaining 8 players compete in two pods for the final 2 seats – Final Pod (4 players) determines the winner • 15 proxies allowed (see updated Proxy Policy below) • Official Commander ban list applies • Decklists required at registration and must include all proxies Round Count: • Under 25 players: 3 Swiss rounds • 25+ players: 4 Swiss rounds Please note: With higher attendance, playoff pods may extend the event into early evening (approximately 5–6 PM). ROUNDS, TIMING, AND OVERTIME • Swiss rounds are 80 minutes • When time is called: Active player finishes their turn Five total additional turns are taken If no winner is determined at the end of turn 5, the game is a draw Point System (TopDeck Standard): • Win = 5 points • Draw = 2 points • Loss = 0 points UPDATED PROXY POLICY (FINAL VERSION) Players may use up to 15 proxies. All proxies must meet the following standards: Legal Proxies: • Must be single-piece, professionally printed card-stock proxies • Must match the thickness of a real Magic card • Must shuffle indistinguishably • Must include card name, mana cost, type line, artwork, and rules text • Must be clearly labeled “Proxy” • Must not resemble authentic cards closely enough to be considered counterfeit Not Allowed: • Paper printouts inserted into sleeves • Paper slips in front of basic lands • Multi-layered sleeve combinations • Handwritten or marker-written cards • Curled, bowed, or thickness-irregular proxies • Any proxy identifiable by touch • Counterfeits MDFC (Modal Double-Faced Card) Rules: Players using MDFCs must: Use single-piece card-stock MDFC proxies (no paper inserts) Provide a printed reference sheet showing the card name, both sides, and Oracle-accurate rules text Tournament staff have final discretion during deck checks and may require replacement of unacceptable proxies. PRIZE SUPPORT $20 of each $25 entry goes directly into the prize pool. The balance funds judges, promos, raffle items, and event operations. • 1st – 50% of Store Credit Prize Pool • 2nd – 25% • 3rd – 15% • 4th – 10% RAFFLE PRIZES • All players receive one raffle entry • Pre-registered players receive an additional entry • Raffles are held after Swiss rounds • Includes packs, promos, accessories, and items from local partners CONDUCT & DECORUM EXPECTATIONS To maintain a competitive and enjoyable environment: • Respectful conduct is required at all times • No harassment, insults, or antagonistic behavior • No arguing with judges • No intentional slow play or stalling • No angle-shooting or misleading shortcuts • Honest communication is required • Game materials must remain visible Judges may be called at any time. Judge rulings are final. Penalties may include warnings, turn penalties, game loss, match loss, or removal from the event.
