Playtest Proxy Card Policy
100% Playtest Proxy card friendly!
Requirements
- For Friday Nights and 1K events, paper slips are permitted.
- For 3K+ events, paper slips are not permitted. You must use a printed proxy playtest card, we recommend MPC.
- Full Color Prints Required
- Cards must use official Magic: the Gathering artwork that has been used on an official version of that card before (you cannot print a Force of Will with artwork from a Counterspell)
- Cards must contain printed English language rules text for that printed version (STA Tainted Pact Exists, and since that printing is JP only, it will be permitted. However, we do recommend a version of the card that is printed in English)
- Use only card names that exist in the paper game. Through the Omenpaths cards are not permitted, use the paper printed version.
- Take care to ensure that you cannot distinguish between cards from the back, either by sight or feel.
Recommendations
- We recommend that your deck be 100% or 0% paper slips. This minimizes the risk of accidentally marked cards.
- We recommend refraining from borderless and poster variant arts that are illegible. This will minimize time extensions and make the tourney move quicker. We also recommend English printing of proxies for the same reason.
Reminder that this is for proxy playtest cards. If you own real foreign language cards, borderless cards, illegible secret lairs, feel free to use as you see fit.
Feel free to reach out for any questions regarding playtest proxy card policy.
