About this event

Event Information

Welcome to the fourth Scottish cEDH event to be hosted at Merchant's Guild in Central Glasgow! These events will be recurring on the last Sunday of every month throughout 2026, so clear your calendars and put it in your diary! If you have questions or concerns please get in touch via email or join our Discord.

Rules and Addenda

Entry fee is paid in cash on the day of the tournament. There is a cash machine 5 minute's walk from the venue, so if you forget it's not a big deal, just make sure you arrive early and bring a card.

This tournament will be abiding by the MTG IPG and MTR, as well as the Portuguese Multiplayer Addendum, which can be found here.

Playtest cards will be legal at this event, and must be:

  • In full colour
  • Using official MTG art printed on a card of the same English name
  • Indistinguishable from an actual MTG card when face down in a sleeve, including thickness and flex Make sure to trim any paper edges if using playtest cards printed on paper.

If you cannot source playtest cards but wish to participate in the event, please contact us at the email provided or on our Discord server and we will see what we can do. Decklist submission can be done using a pasted decklist or Moxfield link, and closes at the start of round 1, though you are encouraged to submit your decklist as early as possible - you can change it at any time up to the deadline through the website or app.

Reminder to those attending that the Portugese addendum does allow restarts - we suggest reading the addendum - specifically the rules around match structure. If you have questions about restarts, or any aspect of the rules we are using (including playtest card legality), please reach out to us via email or Discord - we are more than happy to hear from people!

Prizing

Prizing will be in cash, and numbers dependent. We maintain complete transparency when it comes to what is happening to the entry fees: £5 of the entry fee will go to the venue, and the remaining £10 will be split 40-20-20-20 between the winner and rest of top 4. This will result in the top 4 getting cash equal to twice the number of players, with the winner getting the same again on top of that.

Schedule

Registration will open at 10:30am, with round 1 commencing at 11:00. There will be four rounds, each lasting 75 minutes with 15 minutes of overtime, followed by a cut to top 10 (usually; exact number of rounds and top cut will be subject to change dependent on attendance and determined on the day).
