Welcome to the Cascade Commander Clash!
Compete for your chance to have a piece of Magic history in your hands! This will run alongside our other debut events.
Event Information
Date: March 9th and 10th
Time: Player’s meeting begins at 10 AM PST (both days)
Rounds: 5 rounds of swiss followed by a top cut on day 2
Round Duration: 90 minute rounds (no turns)
Prize Support: Magic 30 Black Lotus ($3,500 value) and $1,600 cash
Registration and Proxies
Registration: You must purchase a ticket through Best Coast Pairings and registering here. We will be using Command Tower for decklist submission and pairings.
Proxy Policy: This event is fully proxy friendly. Players will be required to present proxies that use original Magic art (MTGO art is allowed). Proxies that do not use original art will not be allowed as they are not easily recognizable by your opponents. Your proxies cannot be marked - they must be indistinguishable from normal magic cards within sleeves. Counterfeit cards are strictly prohibited and use of counterfeits will result in immediate disqualification with no refund.
Rules Enforcement: This tournament will be held at Competitive REL. In alignment, players are expected to know the game’s rules & be familiar with the policies & procedures required to uphold a friendly, respectful, & sportsman like environment. This also means that decklists are required
Event Schedule
Day 1 - March 9th
Player cap of 128.
5 rounds of swiss.
The top 12 players after five rounds of swiss will receive cash prizes. A minimum of $1,600 cash will be offered to the top 12, with additional prizing based on attendance.
Day 2 - March 10th
The top 12 will be cut directly to the semifinals
The next 16 players will play for a ‘last chance’ slot in the semifinals, in four pods of four. At the end of this round, we will have 16 remaining players and they will compete in a standard top-16 bracket to win the Magic 30 Black Lotus ($3,500 value).
