Proxies
This event will be completely proxy friendly. You must use proxy "test cards" that are in color and utilize recognizable art for the card you are proxying (any art for the card listed on Scryfall is allowed). Proxies must be one piece of cardboard the same thickness as a Magic card. Paper proxies sleeved with a Magic card will not be allowed.
Cards and sleeves cannot be marked, and damaged sleeves must be replaced.
Deck registration is not required for normal play. You change decks between games, as many times as you'd like. If you make top 16, you must play the same deck list if you make top 4.
League Rules
90 minute games with no extra turns. Active player finishes their turn. If the end-round turn is not completed in 20 minutes, the table will immediately end in a draw.
We've made an important update to our expected player etiquette which you can find here. This goes beyond official MTG rules. Failure to follow these policies can and will result in a league suspension.
Games will be run as close to Comp-REL as is possible. Please use the Judge ticketing system in case of issues.
We ask that someone from each pod stream the game to the channel in Discord, when possible. This allows others to spectate. Similarly, we also recommend that you record your games for later review if necessary.
Scoring
We are using the Japanese point wager system. Each player starts with 1000 points, and wagers 5% of their points per game. The winner of each game will receive all of the wagered points.
In case of a draw, the points wagered will be redistributed equally to all players. (Note that you do not necessarily get back the same amount that you wagered)
Top cut
Players are expected to play a minimum of 12 games for this sprint leauge to be ranked.
Top 16 and Top 4 games will take place after the conclusion of the league.
