June 26, 2025Introducing Visual Deck Display
Following our recent launch of Scrollrack, our in-house deck validation engine, we're excited to unveil the next evolution in how decklists are viewed on TopDeck.gg: Visual Deck Display.
You'll no longer have to squint at text-based decklists on TopDeck. Now when you view a decklist on TopDeck.gg, you'll see actual card images arranged in an intuitive, visual layout that brings your deck to life.
What Makes Visual Deck Display Special?
For Magic: The Gathering players, this new view transforms your submitted decklists into gorgeous card galleries that showcase every card in your deck with high-quality images. Whether you imported from Moxfield or submitted a text list through Scrollrack, the visual display works seamlessly. This view will be coming to more games on TopDeck.gg soon!
Perfect for Tournament Coverage
Tournament organizers and streamers will love how this enhances coverage quality. Instead of showing plain text lists on stream, you can now display beautiful, professional-looking deck visuals that:
- Showcase deck composition at a glance with intelligently grouped card types
- Stack duplicate cards visually for easy quantity identification
- Show live tournament standings and records that update as the tournament progresses
- Maintain professional aesthetics perfect for broadcast coverage
Download 16:9 Deck Images
One of the most exciting features is the ability to download high-resolution 16:9 deck images. These exported images include the player's current tournament standing and match record, making them perfect for:
- Social media bragging rights - Share your 4-0 tournament deck on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook
- Content creation - Use in YouTube thumbnails with live standings visible
- Tournament coverage - Generate graphics showing top performer decks with their records
- Personal archives - Keep visual records that capture both your deck and tournament performance
Smart Layout Technology
Our visual display engine automatically:
- Organizes cards by type (Creatures, Instants, Sorceries, etc.) with clear section headers
- Sorts by mana cost within each card type for logical deck analysis
- Stacks duplicate cards to save space while showing quantities clearly
- Adapts to different screen sizes with responsive grid layouts
- Handles sideboards and extra decks in dedicated sidebar sections
Coming to More Games
While Magic: The Gathering is the first game to receive visual deck display, we're actively working to bring this feature to Yu-Gi-Oh and all other games supported on TopDeck.gg. The visual display will adapt to each game's unique card layouts and deck structures.
Enhanced Player Experience
Beyond coverage benefits, players will appreciate:
- Quick deck overview without scanning through text lists
- Live tournament context with your current standing and record displayed prominently
- Easy sharing with clickable card links to purchase or learn more
- Copy decklist functionality still available for importing to other platforms
- Mobile-friendly responsive design that works on all devices
Try It Now
Visual deck display is live today for all Magic: The Gathering tournaments on TopDeck.gg. When navigating to a decklist from a bracket page or player profile, clicking decklist will send you to the new deck viewer.
Tournament organizers can immediately start using these enhanced deck displays for coverage, and players can begin downloading their deck images to share their builds with the community.
If you want to navigate to a list easily, they all follow the same format of topdeck.gg/deck/{tournament-id}/{username}
