Running successful competitive tournaments hinges on players receiving timely support when they need it most. We're excited to introduce our brand-new Judge Call system, designed to streamline how players request assistance and empower judges to respond more effectively.

Traditionally, players raise their hands and verbally call judges over. While this remains effective for many tournaments, our Judge Call system provides a valuable alternative, especially beneficial for large-scale events and online tournaments. Available on both web and mobile app, it offers greater flexibility and clarity, making judge assistance seamless and efficient.

What's New:

• Dedicated Call Judge Button: Players can now easily request judge assistance directly from their tournament page.
• Automatic Chat Integration: If using Player Chat, initiating a judge call automatically prompts players in chat to describe their issue clearly.
• Judge Dashboard: Judges get a streamlined, easy-to-use dashboard displaying pending calls, table numbers, rounds, ordered by timestamps.
• Efficient Call Management: Judges can claim calls, escalate complex issues directly to the head judge, or mark calls as resolved.
• Real-time Notifications: Instant alerts ensure judges never miss a new call.

How It Works:

For Players:

1. Click the "Call Judge" button on your tournament page during an active round.
2. Describe your issue when prompted in your table's chat (if chat is enabled).
3. Wait briefly as judges review and respond to your request.

For Judges:

1. Access your tournament’s dedicated judge dashboard.
2. View all pending calls, clearly presented with details about table and round.
3. Claim and address a call or escalate more complicated scenarios.
4. Mark calls as resolved once the issue is handled.

Enhanced Tournament Operations:

The new system provides clarity and efficiency by reducing interruptions and confusion. Players no longer need to leave their seats or worry about attracting attention. For online events, judges can quickly assess and address issues with the right context thanks to automatic chat integration.

Tournament organizers benefit from improved visibility into player support needs, ensuring smoother and more consistent operations. The escalation feature maintains tournament integrity by routing complex rulings appropriately.
